The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

A few days ago Overclockers suddenly had a single Sapphire Fury x turn up for sale. Certain people asked where it came from and if it was a return, It disappeared not long after. Now a Sapphire Fury X has turned up in the B grade section. Make what you will of that but it makes me question how much I can trust that what I'm getting really is new and not a return and that's disappointing. Not too mention the fact there still trying to get 650 quid for it...

Just spotted that, who the hell prices these things?

seems Fury x scales in crossfire/trifire and quadfire better than anything Nvidia has.
seems to me anyone going high entusiast buys fury as the other team dont make sense there. I mean if you want to have the best right?

well if you don't use insane amount of AA in 4K like some eagles over this forum :P then fury x is the best. Also people saying Titan 4way sli is better(with AA) than fury x 4 way xfire forget how much titan x costs ;)
and that 4Gb argument, well I wonder what would 970gtx owners say about that? Everyone is still happy about that card, same as everyone is happy with fury x in performance at 4k. The odd games it runs out of vram, I'm sure AMD is still working to optimise drivers for them. Besides, we are yet to see tests rerun with newer drivers. Kinda odd to see all the review sites ignorant to that fact (well not odd, to me personally).

Even if they scaled perfect FACT is they are still slower than the 980ti. the Fury in my eyes is more of a competitor to the 980 than the 980ti.

I know I have both but the Fury's are going back.

Had AMD of pulled their finger out and been organised for once and released the Fury prior to the 980ti release then no doubt it would have been hailed amazing for the price as it would have been compared against the Titan X.

Nvidia pulled a masterstroke by releasing the 980ti and no doubt AMD never saw it coming as they are oblivious to most things these days :p

Oh and "Overclockers Dream my ass!!" :D

It's at random. There's a problem with how AMD cards handle certain CVT and are overly sensitive to cable lenght, this one is a 5ft Actel which is a decent lead. Works fine with the TX cards. This type of thing happens too often.

Never heard of that cable. Do you have a link to it so we can try to repro the issue? Fairly sure we have that monitor in our labs already.
