The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

Thats an assumption, you don't know what the sales figures are around the world.

But if you are like me, you keep an eye on stock and prices and these Fury Xs just haven't seen any stock, so I agree with Chroniclard - They just aren't making many.

Typically they're putting a spin on it to pander to investors. "High demand" for a product that has had very little supply isn't saying much, you could have low demand for it but if there's only a few thousand units world wide they're still going to be hard to come by.

Also seems she conveniently skipped the returns due to the pump issue.

Out of stock due to high demand lol, AMD do come out with some good jokes sometimes haha. Seriously though we all know its due to low supply not high demand! Not sure who they are trying to kid!

The UK or even the US are not the world, if AMD think the China markets are more important guess where all the stock goes ;)

Yes compared with other GPU's stock is perhaps limited, but i doubt its THAT limited, i think the bulk of the stock is going to China where they are selling like hot...erm? yeah.

I would buy one if i could be sure the pump issue was fixed, hopefully more stock will come through and be fixed. If it takes much longer I might just wait for the next die shrink.

Be interesting to know whats causing the supply issue, rectifying the pump problem, bad yields or both?

Could also be HBM issues, it is very hard to produce apparently with poor processes in place, not easy to est etc. Multiple companies are involved with creating/stacking/binding/interposer.

Think I would too. Only because I want AIO cooling and the equivalent Ti is a rip off. Though does offer significantly more performance.

Well I don't believe that AMD would shaft the rest of the world to cater for the Asian market.

If I had just made a gpu which was cool and quiet under load, and I made it in a place that was quite hot and humid, and had the option of not shipping them thousands of miles away because demand was on the doorstep. I would be fairly tempted to send them to that place.

I would be especially tempted to do this if my company had financial problems and I needed a fast result. If I could only make so many of these gpu's then I would only send a few to other places, especially places where people seem to slate them because there is a gpu 10% more expensive that performs mostly the same, except louder and hotter, unless you go through a process of using software to make it perform better.

So, my question now is do I cancel my Fury X order and get a couple of 980Tis?

Although I was hoping to try out Freesync...

Maybe I just don't get either and stick with my 980s and 290Xs (I was gonna ditch the 290Xs for FuryXs and have the 980s in the other PC).

Was considering a jump to a pair of ti's, though might just stick with my 295x2 for the time being.

*Quieter, marginally hotter, significantly faster.
