The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

I have sent caseking a few emails, and only got one reply telling me to send another email to a different department.

Still no reply yet, and it's been 3 days. Their really taking their time.

"Most people game at 1080p"
Yeah and MOST PEOPLE don't spend £1k on graphics cards either. Lmfao.

Did not say I gamed at 1080P LOL

All I was saying was most folk game at 1080P yes with a single card so maybe it MIGHT of been a good idea to produce a card that could keep up with the competition at that resolution?

Oh and while on the subject of 4K, if you are going to produce a card in 2015 that is designed for 4K gaming, somone at AMD maybe should have thought about making it HDMI 2.0 compatible instead of going with the 1.4a specification that was introduced in 2009 i believe. :p

Each to their own of course. The Fury is targeted at 4K gaming where it's very competitive and runs in the 50C range.

I look forward to seeing your benchmarks in those threads.

Those benchmarks would'nt by chance all be AMD featured games would they? I mean totally not cherry picked titles right?

Not sure if you can answer this but here goes, Why did AMD not go with HDMI 2.0 support if this card is as you say targeted at 4K gaming?

@Gibbo and/or @OC UK staff, can we get an indication if realistically you are expecting to have some Sapphire cards in stock tomorrow (ETA showing 17/07 currently)?

Cards are coming through in 1-2pc at a time, severely poor supplies. :(

Most people game at 1080P, I game at 4K on my TV but unfortunately could not test my Fury's at 4K on my TV for some reason that escapes me ;)

I liked the cards and they were plenty quick enough for me, I was simply saying the 980's are quicker in most games and would have still had the Fury's had it not been for the pump issues.

I have a 1080P screen and game at 1440P, sometimes even at 1800P on a single 290, we have something called VSR ;)

AMD Confirms R9 Fury X Out Of Stock Due To High Demand – HBM And Fury X Ramping Up As Expected

AMD has confirmed that High Bandwidth Memory and Fury X production is ramping as expected, limited supply is due to exceedingly high demand. This was revealed during the company’s 2015 Q2 earnings call which concluded earlier today.

AMD Radeon R9 Fury Fiji HBM
The company’s CEO Dr Lisa Su said that AMD is quite pleased with the R9 Fury X launch. She then continued to state “The fact that it’s out of stock is not a bad thing cause it gives us the confidence that the customers are appreciating the product”.

No way is high demand the problem. Maybe the demand is there but I have been around long enough to know what is what with stock and there just hasn't been any anywhere of note.
