Well theres todays cards due in going to get another new date as well now
Is anyone else imagining this currently awkward silence with the harmony of a CM pump whine in the background
It provides finer details due to the smaller more numerous shapes and the performance is far less 'trashed' on cards that can cope with the higher levels, just because it's difficult to see a difference doesn't mean it doesn't do anything.
Well they shouldn't. I know they don't care either way, and nor will OCUK as a business because a sale is a sale, but they're really not helping by sitting back doing nothing.
I'm not being funny, but certain people are starting to look like crazed stalkers. Like they have lost touch with anything real and are just banging on and on and on like something possessed.
It's actually hard to watch. You know? how you walk down a high street and some one trips over their own toes and you cringe for them?
I'm interested in seeing if DX12 can surpass Nvidia's DX12 implementation as AMD has rumoured and has been touting their Async Shaders as the best thing since sliced bread
This made me giggle
Why was it you mentioned not to consider a zotac amp? I've seen issues with the extreme's but not the regular amp edition.
They use cheap VREGs and the coolers are needlessly bulked out.
How you liking it in truth? Playing well at 4K?
From what i've seen the amp is actually a reference card and the amp extreme is the custom card with the insane heat sink.
The AMP still has the cooler. I'd just go for a standard blower model. Or go the hog and get the Classified / HOF

Yeah but the coolers nowhere near as big as on the extreme, just dual slot on the amp.
Yeah totally I've finally started Metro 2033 : Redux. Only thing is I did Last Light first and it all feels the same, like I'm visiting the same places I went in Last Light :S
Wish I could have played it at launch but my paltry GTX 470 wasn't up to it and it ran like bum. I could have heavily reduced the settings but one of the main points of interest were the gorgeous graphics.
Batman? blimey, even Bob the Builder couldn't fix that one.....
BS let me tell you.. Why because I have first hand experience with my 290 gaming edition stock hitting 85c vs water cooled hitting 50-60c and I noticed the difference right away..
From sitting where I am with case next to me it's much, much cooler. Another thing I noticed was just how much quieter and cooler my overall system is and funny enough I do seem to get better performance also.
I found Batman played really well at 1440P with everything on (as far as AMD are allowed to). GTA V was good as well at 1440P with settings turned down of course.
So you can tell without looking what temp your card is running at?
Maybe there are quieter cards than your 290? (I seem to recall the MSI 290 Gaming editions weren't even close to being the best or coolest 3rd party 290 were they?)
Noise will vary between cards, so ignoring the coler noise you're telling me you can tell the temperature your card is running at?
