The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

.

So what if it's 5fps slower than another card, when your running Freesync or gsync at 1440p your probably averaging enough to be in the sync range of the game so more fps is negligible at that point and only serves a purpose to make someone feel a bit superior while gaining zero actual real world benefits whatsoever.

Its not 5fps, an averagely overclocked 980ti is about 20-30% faster than a FuryX, meaning ~30fps at 1440

And yes, although not as pronounced, I can tell the difference between a constant 100fps and a constant 70fps even with gsync

Come now, that aint fair, an overclocked card against a stock one, you know for a fact if the tables were turned, there would be hell on here from the Nvidia crowd, as there has been in the past when its been done.

My overclocked 290 is way faster than a GTX 970. what a truly astonishing thing..... R9 290 FTW eh?

CROCK OF CRAP ;)

Please runs these games using your 980Ti benchmark them, then i'll do the same.

Edit- Overclocked the 980Ti is faster, but you seem to think it's faster in everything and it's really not.

I call b******t ... there's no difference in playing at all as long as it's consistent and stable , above 60 .. well not in my eyes anyway even when playing on my mates 144hz screen as well as my normal 60 hz ...

Theres any number of tricks you could pull to try to show your card as being as fast or faster, the nature of independent reviews is that they use the same system, the same settings and the same bench run. I'm not going to even attempt to repeat pages and pages of work that other people have already done.

What are you saying anybird? that AMD users are potentially bias when benching their cards against nvidia.

AMD users don't have Nvidia Inspector...

I'll have some of that too. We've got plenty of gaming bench threads here at OcuK with built in benchmark tools for consistency, pick a few. 30% is certainly some claim!

Sorry Matt but you constantly ask people to benchmark their Nvidia cards against AMD featured games, talk about cherry picking at its best.

I like the Fury X, I would not have a pair in my main rig, a) because of the stupid decision to ommit HDMI 2 support and b) because I game at 4K so ideally would need 2 Fury X's but then I am at the mercy of AMD and mostly terrible crossfire support for the latest games (elite dangerous anyone)

Thats why I have a pair of 980ti's but would still like to get another Fury X for my other rig when they become readily available :)
