The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

This shows how much of **** up lunch this was....
Now people are buying NV even tho they wanted FX cause... Cant buy them anywhere.... Talking people that been saving for gpu and waiting for one for months..

Its a terrible launch to say the least, though im sure its the type of launch retailers love, with limited stock they can get away with marking up prices substantially.

Makes me wonder about the talk that amd had to bring the fury launch forwards because of the ti. Seeing as its supposedly reviewers that brought the pump fault to amd's attention then they might have had a ton more stock being sent back for replacement if the launch was later in the year with more stock as many have said.

The x2 is using lower clocks apparently according to that amd guy in the 16 minute video on youtube. Not really sure why considering a 120 aio was able to cope with the hotter running 295x2?

Fury is a much bigger entity than the 290x though dude. It has a ton more stream processors, and, the memory is also on the same die (well around the edges).

You may also find that they have used lower binned cores. Let's face it, if AMD manage to get one out it will absolutely destroy the Titan X no matter what happens, even if it were running two 800mhz cores.

And that, like the 295x2, will be the main aim. It will likely get Nvidia making a new Titan Z of sorts which will be a massive fail like the last one.

It's quite telling that Nvidia don't want to really put any bother into dual GPU cards really. The fact they charged what they did for the Titan Z made it clear that they certainly didn't take it seriously as a actual competitive product. It was just willy waving but fail at the same time.

See for me coming from custom watercooling I find it incredible that they can cool even a single GPU so well with just a single 120, if the fury x has impressed me in any way it would be because of that.

Yes fury x2 would obliterate Titan x. All the games which support any sort of multigpus would see nearly double the performance increase. With games which don't support multigpus the x2 would be close to titan.

but hey, we would have green team screaming about how x2 uses more power, even though people who can afford these cards never worry about power usage.
I don't **** money, and I don't care about power usage of the GPU and CPU. That is why my cpu is oced 5930k.
If I cared about electricity, I would be sitting with single 970gtx or something

When the 295x2 released AMD took it pretty seriously and drivers, and thus reviews, were excellent. So hopefully if they make another they will sort everything out at launch.

But then this is AMD we're talking about here... hehehe.

What drivers? At the moment every game which supports multigpu is scaling fantastic, so from driver side of view itnis all ready. What they need to work on is drivers for Fiji shaders, as a lot of apps and games are not using all of them.

Its not really a fanboy issue its really just comparing 2 gpu's vs one. By the same logic Fury X owners would screaming about how it uses nearly 2x the power.

I do like the x2 type cards and look forward to see what fury x2 can do
