Im not surprised they are still in stock, theres a place got a couple in for a bit more than that, and they've been there about 3 weeks now.

I had a Sapphire on order for weeks (was due in this Friday), but with all the cards missing their due in dates all the time, and just getting new ones that were weeks ahead issued, i figured the Sapphires would just be the same, so when i spotted they got some XFXs in, i swapped my order over for a one.

Ash0787 Gregster ran 3D heaven benchmark and my overclocked 290x is 2fps off fury X !!!!! TWO FPS GAIN..... So with OC fury X I would be looking at 3 maybe 4 FPS more over 290x !!! That wont cut it better off buying another 290x..... Even tho i hate Xfire :(

Lol it's Heaven bud, total horse crap on AMD, How much do you intend on playing heaven?

The Fury X destroys the 290X in gaming, CF Fury X destroys CF 290X.

Shockingly bad launch stock wise.

This. I have CF 290 and can't bring myself to spend more money for such meagre gains this gen, but if you check the majority of benchmarks in 4K at maximum settings CF 2/390/X gets around 35-45 FPS if we are talking TW3, GTAV etc, but CF Fury X manages over 60.

Can You tell me how much faster Fury X is over 290x in 3D stereoscopic gaming ??

In heaven on jump from 7950 to 290x gain was 12 fps.... So it is a Valid upgrade check.....
 
Most 4k benches had the 390 33% behind a Fury X. Both scale remarkably well in crossfire (80-100%).

To be fair Im a little annoyed at myself for cancelling my FX preorder in a fit of frustration last week. Im even more annoyed at the price gouging of in stock cards.

Better off in the long run, still far too much of a crap shoot with dodgy stock still doing the rounds.
 
Gerard thing is only faster when it works. With 3D gaming you and soon VR you are looking at adding 1 more problem with running games on CF/SLI.... 6970x2 was a NIGHTMARE to have it working in 3d many problems micro stuttering ect...
 
Crossfire has gotten far better in the past few gen. Even since the 7xxx series. I have had a great experience with my 2 290's compared to my pretty terrible experience with 2 5850s. 2 2/390/X's will perform better than a Fury for sure, just check the performance of the 295.
 
Meladath problem is getting Xfire to run on TriDef software to run a game in 3D :D

ATM Im holding back till VR helmets hit the store.. By then Fury X will be in stores i hope.... At normal price I HOPE.....
