I've a week off at the end of August so they have to be here by then, surely?:o

Although I still have a fantasy they will be coming on the 4th.:D
 
Wow I thought the Asus X's would have gone pretty quickly but it's still reading as 4 in stock.
Mind you it's probably down to people refusing to pay so much. It's tragic though, The Sapphire Fury stock still sits at 10+ I wonder how well there selling?

Yep preordered on the day we could expecting the card 2 weeks ago, but now it's unlikely to arrive until mid/late august.

I'm half tempted to just cancel but at the same time I need as new card because my current one doesn't support freesync which my new 1440p monitor has.

I'm sorry what? I have two of them, and 930rpm is minimum, and they are completely silent. During heavy load they speed up to 1000rpm and that's all :/
How is it even possible that single 950rpm fan can be loud to some? Seriously do some of you guys have a microphone inside of the case which leads to your headphones for you to listen?
I sleep next to my pc with 2 fury x folding proteins. That's how silent those things are :/

In AB it says that its running at 15% when it 950rpm, it must be wrong. My sp120 fans are silent at 1000rpm so?

The default proland tress are interesting at a distance but they aren't great up close (being 2D), and are way to similar and it is easy to spot the repeating. That is something I ideally want to fix. The latest game engines do have good trees and vegetation but it is still way too spares and way to repetitive.

yep, DX12/Vulkan will resolve that issue and will allow us to get away from so much instancing.

Any experience with Unreal 4 engine humbug? i'm thinking of switching.

Batching seems to be a lost art these days :( with the right approach you can have dozens of variations and render what would be effectively 100s of thousands of tris very fast.

My feeling is that the 980Ti will be faster unless LiquidVR is significantly more innovative than nvidias equivalent, my reasoning is that both major headsets are aiming to run at a relatively low resolution but pushing unusually high framerates, we know that currently the Fury X is not suited for this task

I've been using my card with the DK2 and its very glitchy at the moment even with simple demos that have worked fine for me before on nvidia cards,
nobody seems to know whats wrong with it though, so am waiting until more people own these cards and the issues will become apparent to devs hopefully.

easily tested. Open your case, and touch the middle of the rotating fan to slow it just a tad down. You should hear the difference in fan noise. I remember had some issues with AB interfering with CCC fan control, and it would spin the fans of second GPU to maximum. And when they are spinning at max they are rackets. So I double checked if it really is fury x fans by touching centre of the spinning fan to slow it down and the noise level dropped straight away. and obviously you are very close to the fan you can hear any changes in noise. Also, CCC usually report fan speed correctly.

P.S. there is a new driver released 15.7.1 some bit and bobs fixed. CS:GO profile updated.
