The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

It's just crazy, if i was to go do the same in the 980Ti thread or Titan X i'd get jumped on by mods and devote nvidia fans, but i won't.. the reason is simple.

I'm not a ****.

Would a passing mod please sort this thread out, it impossible trying to filter through the crap trying to find useful information and the thread is constantly getting derailed by people posting utter nonsense.

What happened to the "3 Strike warning" mods, it's a sticky, bloody enforce it!

They will cry about being "censored" if the mods try anything. Despite the fact they can and do post the same bile in every other thread freely.

A number of people have made this point lately, how you don't see AMD users going into NV threads and trashing them. I think it's clear who the problem is: a small cadre of glory-hounding fanboys who treat enthusiast computing like a spectator sport. They want you to know every time Jon Peddie puts out a new report that shows NV ahead, every time AMD has a bad quarter, every dubious rumour of a buyout, any time AMD puts a foot wrong. Really this has no place on this forum.

Best just to delete it imo, would take too much work to clean it up (and create a Fury discussion thread at the same time)

I think the only reason the Furys are not shifting is, is because by the time AMD released them, everyone who wanted an X, had already bought a Nvidia, as they couldn't get one.

They should have just released the Fury at the same time, as chances are, those wanting an X, would have just gone for it instead, as they aren't that far off the Xs performance, and are cheaper, but with not doing that, the only option for everyone, was Nvidia. :(

The problem with Fury sales is that traditionally the highest tier card is not good value in comparison to the second tier. For a 30-40% hike in price you only get a 10-20% performance increase. Its why the 290 and 390 and 970 series cards are such gems.

The problem is the FX (if it where available) is only 10% more expensive than a fury and you still get a 10% increase in performance as well as a fantastic AIO cooling solution, assuming the pumps are sorted.

If the fury were £400 id be more tempted. But right now im in limbo.

The real honey truth is most nvidia owners secretely are miffed they had to pay so much for their cards so to gain some form of justification they feel they need to come in and belittle the opposition as they probably feel let down in a way that they had no option but to buy Nvidia

It's quite common human nature to act in this manner for a lot of people as they lack the ability to actually express their frustrations in a constructive manner, especially as a small bit of self loathing creeps in that they wasted money on a slightly superior product.

That is why they will go to the ends of the earth to justify their purchases, often sitting smugly lording how superior they are, when really inside, even though they will never admit it, they are upset they have been rinsed by Nvidia once again

Found out my current GPU can indeed support freesync over display port (which ive never used) so ordered a cable from ocuk, as a result i will likely cancel my pre-order for the Fury X tomorrow and just wait it out until the HBM 2 cards arrive.

Waiting 5+ weeks with no idea on when stock will arrive is totally not acceptable.

What is your current card? Your Sig says 6950 modded to 6970 which can't run freesync

There are 5 in stock right now?

Its a 7950 which apparently can, I pre-ordered the HIS Fury X at 509, there's no way I'd pay 600 for one, even 509 was a little too much considering all the bad things over the past month.

The 7950 doesn't support freesync for gaming either.

Hilariously some of AMD's latest GPU's (The 380/370 etc) don't either :p
It's bad form when you're releasing GPU's in Q3 2015 that don't support a feature you announced in Q1 2014 :p

Either way, I shall give ocuk a call tomorrow if they cannot provide a date for my card I will cancel, if I can find it somewhere else for the same or similar price then I go there, I refuse to pay over inflated prices for the same card.

Oh, no. Just no. I try to avoid postin in here due to some being hyper sensitive, but I like to see how things are moving.

I know I spent more, and the justification is that I have gotten rid of all the bloody hassle I used to have.

If both these furys and 980 tis were out when I was buying, I'd do the same again.

Stop spewing rubbish, because yu just sound petty.

Yeah truth is most of the people who splurge on the higher end nVidia cards like Titan X don't care about purchase justification or they wouldn't be buying them in the first place.

Best post ever.

Ok then why do they feel the need to haunt pretty much every AMD thread telling people how inferior the products are???

Dont say it does not happen because it does, its obvious for anyone reading these forums that it happens. Just reading through pages in this thread its apparent its the same Nvidia fanboys trolling needlessly time and time again and its pretty much every AMD based thread.

So its either these people constantly trolling as i stated previously, or they are deluded enough to think people care about their opinion.

Its almost as bad as crying "troll" just because people are, often justifiably, criticising a product.

The thing is Chroniclard, its the same Nvidia owners in every AMD thread, spouting the same rubbish over and over.

So what is it then? its almost like AMD come to their house and **Swear words must be fully starred ** their pets or something infront of them.

There is no other explanation for the blatant trolling of the Nvidia section on this forum, its every thread, and im not exaggerating, and its normally the same culprits time and time again, because the forum Mods rarely do anything about it.

And im not the only one who notices and points this out either. So why do they feel they need to post so much drivel constantly about Nvidia? what got them so butthurt?
