I was going to get a Fury X for my 2nd rig to replace the 7990 thats is in there.
These whining issues have put me off for the moment.

This is why I went the crossfire 390 route. Better performance, less money, no coil whine 8gbvram. Was a no brainer, there's no way m paying £500-£600 for guaranteed whine. No thanks. Will wait till proper cards arrive next year.

Im pretty sure ill be doing the same. My trusty 7970 has served me well.

It costs you as well buddy. As far as I know OC'S policy for rma postage costs is "return costs to be paid by buyer" I've just had to pay £15 on postage to send it back.
