I think there's something wrong with my forum account, I never get email notifications of thread replies that I'm subbed to anymore and there's been like 50+ replies in this thread since I last commented, Even checked the options, Happening quite a lot lately :confused:

Probably tied in with the currently known problems with the forums at the moment.

They need to feed the hamsters more Haribo!

Gutted for you, I had to go through the same, can't believe this crap has not yet been sorted, AMD are getting worse, they just don't seem to give a ****, they should have pulled the first batch until this was sorted :(

Ive still got my replacement for the one with the snapped screw i sent back coming, so will give that a quick test when it arrives, before fitting it all in properly, should have really done that with this one tbh, as had a mare getting her back out, still its done now, 290s back in, and ahhhh, no more high pitched EEEEEEEEEEE. :p

Such as shame, as the cards sexy as **** when its all fitted and lit up :(

Well the 295x2 was fine, an asetek unit that wasn't too different from the regular cpu coolers, couldn't hear the pump on my 295x2. The "coolermaster" (they just supplied it, some Asian company made it) fury-x version just seemed to have a lot of corners cut.

As I said before, they went for a premium exterior and the important parts got lumped with a cheap cooling solution.
 
Found this vid on YT of a fixed one (new revision).

Can't hear the whine at the start, only seem to hear it, when he goes right up inside, against the plate (about 6secs in).


Once case side is on, and was down on the floor like mine, i reckon that would be ok.
