The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

I hope the 3rd parties get to grips with voltage control soon, Would actually like to see "The Overclockers Dream".

With custom waterblocks they are not bad at overclocking on stock volts, mine can all do 1140/500 when working together in a 4 way setup and better than that when used as single cards.

What voltage control will bring is the big unknown.

With voltage control it could prossibly bring plenty of dead cards.

Who knows.

One could say a "over clockers dream"? lol

No but seriously yea iv'e been waiting to see voltage control on these cards for a long time. No one knows what they will over clock like.

What happned to the ones that have just been bought, gone back already for pump whine ? :p

Had mine in for a couple of days now. When I first fired it up it had a terrible whine - really high pitch and loud. I was gutted.

I was prepared to send it back but I was curious how it performed so I had a session playing one heavily GPU bound game (Survarium) - 100% load for a couple of hours.

To my surprise by the time I was done the whine was gone. If I take the side panel off and put my ear right up to it I can still hear the whine but it's really a non-issue now. The pump is louder than the corsair H55 on my cpu but still it just sounds like a pump.

I don't know if it's settled down with a run in or if it's just killed off that part of my hearing range, but whatever, I'm happy :)

I don't think they're all down to the pump. You'll also get cards that coil whine in general. Hope you get a couple of good one's Googaly.

It is all down to the pump, the pump whine and coil whine sound very different. Coil whine changes with framerate, whereas the pump issue is a constant drone.
