Assuming you touch for one that doesn't either whine or buzz. At this point that shouldn't be an issue but still could be.

The small batch of faulty pumps have been replaced, as far as i know.
By this point I would hope so. I just hope amd put in place some better Qa checks to avoid this situation with the upcoming x2 card.

Surprised im the first one with it tbh, thread should have been pages and pages of it by now, plus its still far too expensive, needs at least another £100 off etc.... 
Crossfire fury x vs 980 ti sli in the hardocp article was interesting. Especially with dying light a game that according to them can eat upto 6 gigs of vram purring along fine on crossfired fury x cards.
Suppose that's an example of their "hand tuning" working well.

Wasn't the case for all the games but it does throw some weight behind their argument of optimising for better vram usage, at least for the first iteration of hbm.

How are people finding this cards performance? Looking to upgrade from an R9 290??
Is it worth the large chunk of extra money after selling the 290 or would it be better to crossfire? I am currently siding towards the Fury X thanks to AMDMatt
