Pro Duo Launches 26th April

Radeon Pro Duo, the mixture of Radeon and FirePro series will launch later this month. According to HardwareBattle, Radeon Pro Duo will be available on April 26th, however review embargo may lift sooner. My old Titan-X went and toasted itself (well more died silently) so I needed a new card now.

Enter my new R9 nano (water cooled).

Now ever since installing the latest crimson drivers I go to change my memory speed and it sets in TRIXX but every monitoring program I can load says it's sticking at 500mhz, is this a known issue as googling memory clocking just either brings up the original unlock or the odd memory issues in the first crimson with other cards.

Currently running 1.1ghz core at 1.15V.

Yup, still got mine. Though I'm down to 1 of them now, it runs my XR34 fine enough for the time being. I was planning on an upgrade this year depending on how improved AMD's offering is.

Well that didn't last long. Screen went black and it now smells very strongly of burning. I had plans to put an nice custom bios on it and eventually get some ln2 on it, bit it died at stock after a bit of mad max and f@h :(

What BIOS mod? spill the beans :)

If you're after bios then view Fiji bios mod on OCN by me :) . In a section in OP is also VDDC / MVDDC (ie HBM voltage) ROMs for Fury / Fury X / Nano :D .

Using a VDDC offset in the ROM is the same as applying an offset in MSI AB, ie all DPM gain the voltage increase.

The more elegant method is to edit VID for a DPM ;) , so it apply only to that DPM :) .

For example you add +60mV in MSI AB to gain an OC, your idle voltage will go from 0.900V to ~0.960V, but you don't need voltage increase in that DPM as your not OC'ing idle state. With VID edited for a DPM you apply the increased voltage to the DPM you OC'd (ie DPM 7) and thus your idle voltage / clock is unaffected :D .

I have only seen Sapphire Fury Nitro ROMs have a VDDC offset from factory so my ROMs for ref PCB Fury / Fury X / Nano are a first AFAIK :D . No factory ROMs have MVDDC offsets in them from all I checked so defo a first :D .

Still having throttling issues with my nano.

Soon as it his 40c, it starts throttling even though it's water cooled. I've tried power limits and all sorts, still have the issue. I've flashed to amd's uefi or what ever bios and still doing it.

Any help?

Weird, i have not seen this behaviour at all.

What are the VRM temperatures? Download HWINFO64 to check the temperatures.
