The Fury(X) Fiji Owners Thread

I did see a review which included the 295x2 in their tests. I'll see if I can fish it out.

Problem is, the benches don't seem to tell the full story with the 295x2.

We shouldn't really be promising that DX12 will change the world when we don't even have it yet.

Boom... you got any more stuff to show us?

AMDMatt> Come on.. run some more benches with that dream machine!!! (yes this is pretty much what I imagined about 10 years ago to be my dream machine).

This. DX12 may be round the corner but we wont see the benefits until next year really (games coded from the ground up),by which time new cards will be due. Judge it on whats here now not what may be in the future

With Dual fury coming. will up to 8 way Xfire be a thing? considering how compact they seem if they follow the fury with an AIO like the r925x.

Presumably the dual-fury will have a bigger 240mm rad too - so people might need to keep that in mind case-wise if getting a new case too - especially if already using a 240mm rad on the CPU.

So the included dvi to display port adaptor doesnt work at 120hz? I only have dual link dvi cable and display port which is full size on 1 end but has mini disport on the other end. So im stuck at 60hz for now

Also came with a hdml cable. Why not a disport cable instead?

I thinks its more of a limit when using xfire/sli with directx11, considering the performance scaling. but with DX12 around the corner that should all change.

I doubt that.
at some point writing drivers for the support even at dx12 I imagine wont be simple. who knows once dx12 mature etc..but we talk 3 years away or so and then this debate is moot..

Someone tell him to download Trixx or answer the question about voltage control with it. Or in short to do his job :D

it might do, yet the 295x runs off a 120mm rad. Think it is larger than the one on the fury x though in terms of depth.

Trixxx has not been updated yet, but I'm sure Sapphire are working on it. AMD are not responsible for writing over locking tools with voltage control.

Trixxx needs to be updated as the Fury X uses a different controller than Hawaii.
