Yeah, same, I'd been with o2 since the BT Cellnet bricks and had no problems with them, good service. But Giffgaffs pricing is just to good to ignore.

Are they offering the £10 credit to the referred member too?
I'm considering moving back. I originally moved as their £10 goody bag only gave 150mins which was a little low for my liking, so I switched to tesco 500mins/3000txts/500mb but now I need more data ideally. The thing is, I switched my number but they still have me registered on their system as I receive texts and emails from them as if I am a member... even earnt £2.50 payback credit somehow.

Odd. I got a txt from them the other day that said it is £10 for a limited time.
Can't see that. Its possible it could be for selected accounts, but mine is showing as £5(500 points) per referral
connect a friend before midnight 14th February you'll get a bonus £10 credit (instead of the usual £5 payback points)
Yeah. I checked my account and it's actually £15, although the txt said £10.

Apparently they take there systems down for maintenance during the night, which is why you have trouble at those times.
Not sure about Winmo but on Android having O2 APN settings along side GiffGaff can cause problems. Have you tried deleting the O2 APN and just using GiffGaff settings?
hmm.. why would they do this every night i will never understand
unless i always get lucky to "catch" the system on the maintenance mode lol.
