Do you guys still GvG? I was thinking, if you wanted we could organise some friendly unrated matches between yourselves and us in the Amazon Basin? We've got some serious GvG teams rated top-500, but the majority of our members are casual players and I think friendlies would be the best way to get them PvPing!:) I'm a broadband-refugee until Jan. 8, but if any of you are interested in getting some matches going after that get in touch with me! My IGN is still Cornelius Van Sporg so you know how to reach me!:p
 
Sounds good we could use the practice but could you also arrange for them to play really, really badly or to get very drunk just to give us a chance as we are only ranked about 3500 now. Usual time for GvG matches is 10pm (GMT) most nights and are usually arraigned by Tiny Grasshopper but you could also contact myself, sweetloaf or one of the other officers if he is not online. You can also contact him via the guild forum to arrange a match click on the link in my sig and PM Tiny.
 
Hehe, I think you're overestimating us man!:p As I said, we have 5 guild ladder teams (small guilds of <12 members each, me, michaeldt and Prodigy are in one of those now) ranked top-500, but GvG in our mainguilds is a pretty casual affair - no set build, TS not mandatory, etc. We only get ~1000 ranks cause each session lasts for 3+ hours, with new people constantly coming to replace the ones leaving.
I just reckon a few friendly laid-back matches against a similarly-ranked team made up of friednly and polite people would be a more positive first experience for beginners. Imagine getting randomly assigned to some smurf that wipes the floor with you in 3' and then hurls abuse while you're lying there dead. No fun, is it?:p
We're trying to get more of our "casual" players into serious PvP, and this could help the PvE crowd in both our guilds get into it more. We could also develop some sort of subbing system when either you or we need an extra player or two to make a full team.
 
:D I just saw the top rated serious part with the rank over 500, if we could sort out some matches that would be good gives us a chance to try out some new GvG builds. I must admit that the teams we play that beat us and then hurl a string of abuse at you gets annoying and that’s one thing you wont get from us you can count on that as the guild is very laid back.

We are trying to get more into the GvG side so some friendly matches would be good for us as well. We can usually get a full team and sometimes more than 8 turn up so the subbing system may be a good idea, can you stay with one guild and join another as a guest? Not sure as I’ve never tried it but I guess you can.

Yep, that's the idea: becoming a guest in another guild means you can visit their guild hall and play GvG with them, but without leaving your current guild!:D Before this was implemented, GvG in the Basin meant A LOT of guild hopping, since we're split into like 8 guilds... :(
I'm back online on the 8th - I'll find your email from the forums and let you know when the next scheduled GvG is going to be and we'll just set up an unrated then!
