Nerfing the skills has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with monster AI and you know it.
Case in point, Splinter Weapon.. Used upto to hit 6 adjacent targets for about 60 damage each. Cos of PvP it got nerfed, first the damage was dropped slightly to 53, then the number of targets dropped to 3. Ok so the skill is no longer a problem in PvP, but most of the PvE mobs in Kurzick lands used Splinter Weapon. So ask yourself if a monster used the old splinter weapon on your party and the new version.. which one does the more damage to your party, and which group would be a harder challenge.
And that's only one skill, add in all the other changes and there's your reason for why PvE became a cakewalk. Nerfing skills for PvP reasons ****ed over PvE, LONG before PvE skills ever saw the light of day.
I hate to burst your bubble but if i recall, Splinter Weapon was nerfed because of PvE and not PvP. It was nerfed because of its massive abuse by both farmers and players in general which let it massacre balled up mods like they were nothing. The change made absolutely zero difference to PvPers because there is practically no situation where more than 3 people would be together close enough to get hit by it.
And frankly the same applies to PvE teams. Aside from H/H there should not be 4 players stood next to each other unless you are willing to accept the title of being dumber than the AI.
