The Golf Club

sorry bud, av actually no idea when and how i become a vip

game is great i really like it just need to get my chipping sorted out.

Got a handicap of 1.0, despite a shocker of a 4th round where I ended 7 over.

Gutted, that's actually higher than my real life handicap! I'm better at real golf than this game! :D

did a round last night with 2 friends at my house they had +48 +46 i had +15 lol gfxs are lovely at 3440x1440p on ultra settings and loving gameplay too.. gonna start career later!

Does this support 21:9? I just bought it and even though it gives me 3440x1440 as the resolution setting, there are black bars down the sides.

To be fair, I got to +5.7 in TGC 1, I'm finding this one a little bit harder though. I'm truly awful at chipping, I just can't judge it right at all.

It's definitely a little bit trickier, I'm playing with a 3.2 handicap at the moment after finishing the first template season.
I've pretty much got it now just the odd **** up when putting/chipping now, some of the greens I've played so far are brutal.

Even at the edge of the green i've resorted to flopping everything. I feel like I am able to judge a 9 yard flop better than a chip, lol!

Absolutely loving this, a great golf game, few thigns need to be fixd here and there but overall a quality golf game.

Love the added difficulty of the swing tempo, and also love how the game appears to be more feel this time around. In TGC1 it was so easy to dial in every club, at every loft line and get the exact yardage for every possibility, in TGC2 this has all gone gladly. Really nailed the Tour Clubs now, shot a couple 63 rounds yesterday from Blue Tees. Handicap now at +7.1 after a days golfing,

im still on standard clubs.. it best to practice a few rounds with them before moving on tony?

did first 9 on some links course earlier and was -3 my driving and approach shots are decent but need more practice with left trigger shots tho for loft fade etc!

Game is fantastic, but really struggling around the greens too. Still undecided about the commentary, John Mcarthy sounds a little like Clint Eastwood at times and his funny one liners seem to have gone in this release. I'm getting some choppiness when the camera pans to follow the ball on the green - anyone else getting this? I'm playing at 1080p, but it could well be my 1050ti struggling!

I would actually say, don't get to involved with the standard clubs, whilst they might be way more forgiving than the players and the tour clubs, you lose so much distance and stopping control when playing approach shots to greens, it actually works against you. I would strongly suggest starting with the players clubs, get on the driving range and find your rhythm, don't worry about hitting in the cone, get that tempo sorted first as that's the easiest of the two to master. The backswing doesn't effect much, doesn't really punish you going slow or fast, you might lose a few yards but it's not the one to focus on. Concentrate on getting that perfect downswing, if you get a fast or very fast the ball will severely hook, and if you hit slow or very slow downswing you'll slice it. These impact way more than the backswing.

And also a little tip I seem to have found, I might be off on this not sure yet, but for me it looks like the closer you start your downswing to the very top of your backswing the better the off centre swing path stays to the centre. Not 100% on that yet, but it definitely appears that way for me, could just be I find the rhythm and the sweet spot easier.
