9.3 here and yep, this game is brutal it really yes. Yesterday was hitting it lovely, in the cone all the time and fairly straight. Got home from work today and couldn't hit 1 ball in the cone. Went to the driving range and hit hundreds of balls trying to get my hands and fingers right, find that sweet spot again. After almost 3 hours started hitting straight again. Going to upset a lot of people this is I think.

whats your Steam name Greg? need more golfers on my FL :)

Tour clubs all the way, can just about get round in +2 ish so getting better.

Once the tempo is dialed in the accuracy comes.

Shame I'm away for a week from tomorrow no doubt I'll come back and it'll have to be rerelearned.
 
man the greens on some of the courses are absolutely infuriating. one or two holes ruining entire rounds..time for a break from it all. wildlands here i come.
 
getting close to that +10 handicap now, currently at +9.4 :)

Just love this game even with the slightly wonky ball rolls and bounces on the greens.
 
I picked this up at the weekend, along with a DS4 controller. Works great with my new steam link. :D Not played a golf game since the old Tiger Woods games over 10 years ago on my mates Xbox..
One question though. It's the any way to change the coloured background of the score and shot info at the top of the screen? I find the white letters a struggle to see against a cloudy sky, or indeed any light sky.
From what I've read online mods won't be allowed in this game so I'm hoping there's an option somewhere I've missed..
 
Does the putting get intuitive with practice? im 3hrs in and finding it infuriating.

My first golf game since playing thousands of hours of Tiger Woods 04 on xbox with my mates.

Loving it so far, great game to veg out to.

Yes, it takes a fair bit of practice but you'll get there. You need a very delicate touch and to compensate for the break a lot more on fast greens.
 
Never did buy V1 and still sceptical about V2 without some sort of 3 click traditional play method. Missus bought the PS4 version and I found trying to control the swing/strength with the finger stick infuriatingly hard. I can't see as this will be any easier on the PC. Do we know if they have any plans to put in old school controls?

I suppose I could try for a couple of hours and just refund on Steam if too difficult.
