It is an excellent film, I've watched it at least 5 times but Tom Cruise is my man crush.

As someone else mentioned earlier I ended up skipping past all the studio/tent bits and it made it more bearable.
Usually enjoy their bantz in the film segments but Hammond played the redneck thing too much and James May's facial tick and shouting at Hammond just left me feeling.. Meh
I did like the bit where JM and JC were trying to leave early before Hammond woke up just to see him coming back from his run.
I do still find myself still enjoying the old ~2003-2010 episodes on Dave more though.

Yeah - they either needed to keep it a bit less over the top or go all the way and have May "blow up" Hammond's car or something.

They can keep flogging it aslong its the best components of last 10-12 years, lots of car challenges/tests/special ta very much. I think they do the 3 blokes in a car type challenge very naturally, the other stuff they do seems very forced and scripted, which was great whilst its free on the beeb, but i doubt people will keep shelling out after a season or two.
Fact is the production value was better on the BBC than the Italy drive in ep 3

I think the finances are greater under amazon, but its not like the show was run on a shoe string previously. Where Amazon would help would be the freedom to do and say what they feel, they will have a greater freedom to pander to their Ego's i would guess.
People keep saying it is all too scripted, and they should adhoc more, however they never used to adhoc on Top Gear so why should Grand Tour be any different?
Top Gear on the BBC was massively scripted.
Having been lucky enough to go to almost 75% of all the shows over the last 4 years of the show, it was very hit and miss, but some weeks they might manage to get through a show without hiccup, but most weeks they would have dozens and dozens of retakes of studio segments as they forgot their scripts or went off script too much for the producers happiness.

Enjoyed the 3rd episode especially Hammond in the dodge SRT lol. May had me laughing with his rage fit everytime Hammond gunned the dodge lol.
The whole celebrity brain bash is just beyond stupid as none of them make it to the tent, so I'm trying to figure what is the point of it. Get rid and the show gets better, no need for it unless these celebrities actually make it to the tent lol.
