I went for the option:
Pc gets too hot/noisy/uses too much power

But more accurately "Room gets too hot". I do DC during the cooler months, but for about 4 months around the summer it gets stopped so my room actually stays at a reasonable temp. Downside of having sun facing room.

Not folding now - im a mixture of my PC isnt powerful enough and it becomes to hot. Its a 2.2ghz p4 and if i play games everything has to be stopped or they are unplayable.

Got a conroe on order though, so if it doesnt turn my room in to an oven i might join the `fun`.

BOINCing at the moment on my P4 *however* I just got a splendid new core duo Macbook Pro so methinks it needs some folding love :D :D
I'm sorry to be the one to break it to you, Mr. sprout, but there's no Intel Mac Folding client just yet. The only solutions are to run in Rosetta ,which gives poor performance, or to run windows XP, which sucks. :(

They run relatively cool, so you should be able to join in. It is fun, i promise you. Also rather addictive. :)

I originally stopped SETI'ing, because my pc is rather out-dated now and gets hot very easily, especially in this weather, so I try too keep everything to a minimum, until I can afford to build a new one.

Ah - nonetheless - Parallels for the win!

I might be running Windows most of the time on it anyhow for the moment. My preferred dev software doesn't have a Mac client yet :(

One not on the list.

I simply don't want to.
You must have a reason for not wanting to...
Although before i started folding, i think my reason was i saw no reason to fold, meaning i didn't know it would be fun. Would you say your reason is 'i see no reason to fold'?
