What are the dimensions of the MSI? I don't think the ones listed are accurate as it's a high card. Please can we have accurate numbers, it might save a return if the cards don't fit.

I might buy one cause the price to performance seems like a better match than the Classy or Strix.

The MSI should be quieter, cooler and faster out of the box.

My 2nd rig has a 550w superflower psu.

Would that be enough to run the MSI Gaming? It is also powering a 4790k, but I have no way of knowing what the system is drawing. Currently got a 970 running at 1500mhz.

It'll be fine - have a similar build with an EVGA Reference 980Ti SC in an EVGA Hadron case which only has a 500w PSU.....

OCUK ref 980 Ti purchased.

Will be going under an EK Thermosphere block. I have the passive ram sniks on the way as well, just need to figuire out something for the vrms.

Reference is easier in terms of waterblock compatibility/availability.

Be careful which brand you go for, some void their warranties if the cooler is removed. AFAIK youre fine with EVGA cards but not on Zotac. Thats all i know sorry.

Up to you, i don't know if it's better. I only know that their Twin Frozr coolers usually are very quiet at least compared to other cards, and do a good job of staying cool. I know there might be slightly faster cards but quietness is more important to me and i aint spending near £100 more for hardly any difference .
