The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Can't seem to flash my card, when i try and do this part
3. cmd window: Start, Run, cmd, right-click, Run as Administrator, go to the nvflash folder.
Shows cards in system with ID, nvflash --list'

it keeps saying command not recognized, any tips?

This only happens with my MSI if I have Nvidia Inspector's Multi Display Power Saver Enabled. Unchecking the Target GPU box makes memory overclocking work with Afterburner.

I don't have the inspector thing? So surely that won't effect it? I'll download it and see if it makes a difference. Thanks :)

It worked :D

Right click on the nvflash folder and hold shift, open command window type nvflash --list - dont put in the ID bit.

Will get to give my cards some attention this weekend :)

Want to sit and give elite a good go. It's been neglected... Mind you, so have all my games!

Want to do some dirt rally, actually try project cars, get some way into batman, have a couple of rounds of dirty bomb...

But it's a nice weekend.... And I have an interview Monday...

Maybe I should rephrase to 'hoping to get to give my cards some attention this weekend'.

Quite impressed so far, max boost clock straight out the box of 1367mhz although it is jumping around a bit between 1340 and the above. Max temp was 81c with 75% fan speed (during the firestrike demo) is that normal? Card is MSI Gaming, totally silent i might add.

yeah with out room temp its hard to say. but I would say that is warmer than mine.

I'm OC'd +100 and boosting to around 1430+ and with fans at 75% my temps don't go above 68.

Thanks for the reply. I did post again a bit further dowm with an ambient estimate. It was fairly warm in here earlier but my average temp has been around 75c during gameplay so not too bad, that was at 1457Mhz(stock volts). I'm not too worried as the reference models are running in the mid 80's from what i've read and are also much loader.

I am going to try and push my clocks a little higher soon, my Asic quality is 79.4% which from what i have seen around seems fairly decent. What do you think is safe on air to push for?

Damn with the custom bios these things can kick out some major heat! Air coming out the top of my case feels about as hot as my previous 3 x 290x!

Maybe will just go back to stock bios, little to no volts and drop the clocks a little...

Hi

There is a shipment en route to OCUK but at the moment this is being held up by the port strikes in France. Most shipments incoming are delayed but I would expect this stock to reach OCUK by the 7th. Depending on where you are in the queue will depend if you get yours on this day.

Ben

Any idea of how many of these are in the shipment? I'm 11th in queue last I checked so not hopeful of anything before the 17th, but who knows!

Ordered one of these, with reference cooler. What are people generally reaching with overclocking? On base and boost clocks.

Does the 980 Ti also have full HEVC (H.265) hardware decoding? Or partial acceleration like the 980?

I have the Msi Gaming at 1457 core (stock volts). I have tried 1515 but end up hitting the power limit there and it clocks down to 1501.

Anyone getting driver crashes in Project CARS?

Also do I know I've hit the powerlimit by simply seeing in on the graph in AB?

I've set it to 109, no idea why some people can set it to 110.

Regarding power limit you can have the percentage and limit readings in Afterburners osd.

Different BIOS will have different settings for powerlimits.
