Anyone getting driver crashes in Project CARS?

Also do I know I've hit the powerlimit by simply seeing in on the graph in AB?

I've set it to 109, no idea why some people can set it to 110.

in the Afterburner options, monitoring tab, scroll all the way to the bottom and there is an option called "power limit"... when this goes to 1 from 0 it means the card is throttling due to hitting the power limit

This look normal for a Firestrike run? This is +100 on the core. I can run it +150 and +300 on mem fine..but I suspect the Oc is too much for Project CARS..well I'm testing.
There was the power % on the top line (but I scrolled down to get most of the other stuff) and it read 97% max.

It still seems to throttle a little from 1441 to somewhere like 1429 though..is that throttling? it doesn't sound like much of a throttle.

From an user on Overclock.net who tested all the cards.
That Asic rating! Zotac's Extreme must be cherry picked to get that advertised 1355 boost. On that model is doing 1455 out of the box.

Id be surprised if they don't all do the same thing, which is why the higher clocked cards come out later once they have managed to get a box full of better parts.

That seems the logical reason why they need time to stock up good chips (and we get delays ) :D
Error on the Classy voltage? 1.8V is a lot.
Probably!

Anyway I've decided for the Zotac, was going to wait for Strix reviews but I'm through with red for this generation.
MSI gaming still seems the safer bet (no complaints about coil whine, silent, decent temps), but everyone has it, it's not cool anymore XD

I'm happy my reference cards at +102 (1290mhz boost ) on the cores idle at 35 and 41 degrees.
I wonder what the Pascal reference cooler is going to be, I hope they revamp it and make it even better.

I am kinda jelly of the temps custom cards get, but mine are in an H440 in SLI.

my msi gaming hit 85c last night and stayed there with the card staying at around 80% fan. (playing gtav at 4k dsr)

Should I be worried max temp is only around 92c? also the clock only boosts by itself to 1190mhz during gtav so not like im even ocing it and it isn't ocing itself much through the drivers.
was hot as hell though last night here

These are from just now

how come my TDP is nowhere near 100%?

someone can do the same gpuz screens as above for compare ? no issues with the performance in games, had a solid 60fps with the gtav5 recommended settings
actually what the hell the geforce experience optimal settings are now showing as completely different to what it first told me when I optimised all my games?
BIUV3C7.jpg
What does it tell you guys the optimal res etc is for gtav?
No Haribo :(:(:(:(

I got non with my 980ti either and my order total was somewhere around 730-750 quid :(

Really starting to hate the 550d seems to be crap for airflow.
got a 140mm in the rear, 2x 120mm in the front, 1x 120mm in the side pushing air towards underneath the gpu

really starting to feel like I need moar fans. although I could add a 140mm in the bottom of the case between the psu and hdd bay and 2x 140mm in the roof not convinced it would make much different in these ambient temps though it must be over 20c in my place

yup just turned my garmin bicycle gps on and it started at 19c and started climbing, already upto 21.6c and seems to be still climbing slowly still

omg 23.2c now and still slowly rising this summer sucks.

bet it will get to 24c ambient before it stops climbing :| gah it's already at 25c now.

Reviewers usually test cards with 20 degrees room temperature, so if yesterday was 30 degrees (in my room it was), even 85 it's understandable.
The problem is that the warmer the card gets, the warmer the cpu does. If the airflow isn't optimal, the cycle will go back and forth.

but is it normal for my tdp to not go anywhere near 100% ? and still would like to know what geforce is saying the optimal settings for gtav are for you guys.

since mine changed since I installed the card 2 days ago.

I wouldnt worry about it, Maybe steepen the curve or optimise the case fan flow better so its at 100% at 85c, i have quite a few fans pushing air in now aswell.

Anyway i will be watercooling them when the EK blocks come out aswell as the whole system, only recently decided to do it otherwise would have gotten the reference. But EK have said they will be doing water blocks for the G1, MSI Gaming 6g and Asus Strix currently but it could be a month or two so rather than sending them back Ill just get a pair of waterblocks, i can wait on air until then as i dont have the time currently anyway.

I have eventually got my g1 gaming installed after having to return my first one as faulty. It's got no coil whine and boosts to 1380 out of the box but God it is SO loud. Honestly sounds like a hairdryer at anything over 60% fan speed and it's quite warm compared to the g1 gtx970. The gigabyte g1 980ti at 60% is louder than the gigabyte g1 970 at 100% and for this reason, I think I will return it and swap for the msi gaming 980ti.
Is the msi980ti that much quieter than the g1 as general opinion seems like it's night and day difference.

Wow, well impressed. The sound difference is massive, msi fan on 100% sounds like the gigabyte g1 at 60%.
Think I hit the lottery also as the gigabyte was 65.1% asic and the msi is 78.1% boosting to 1370 at stock with temps around 66. Fan stays around 70% on customer fan curve and is very quiet at this.
Will try some overclocking later when wife and baby gone to bed! I'm very happy and the sound difference between them both IS night and day.
