I'll do it for sure, and all things will be equal... Stock clocks, cards using the exact same system as a test bed etc.

At stock I think the SLI 980s will quite easily beat the single 980Ti. Need to overclock the 980Ti hard to get it to match/beat the 980s.

Gigabyte will honour a warranty for a second hand owner. They will decide how old the card is based on date it was made though.

I've found that having the "enhanced graphics" option in logitech gaming software forces 980 ti gpus to go into permanent 3D clock rates even on the desktop and including SLI. Annoying, but when its disabled (can't tell the difference anyway) its absolutely fine and drops to 2D properly.

Yeah my 970 was doing this. Only started recently so possibly something with the latest drivers?

Nearly 50 yrs old now and been in the know for a good 15 yrs so just something quick.
A low ASIC will be better for water and a High ASIC will be better for air.
That's why you pay premium prices for the top of the range aftermarket GPUs.
You are paying for the binned (cherry picked ) GPUs with a high ASIC number because that is what you want on air .

Tbf if it was a spendy cap to gain access then the majority of those who benefit proberly would never gain access as its the nature . Not really many ways to do it without being unfair and excluding others .

This forum is certainly worth investing in, I've learned a ton from this forum and the people who moderate and maintain it, as well as the regulars. Don't really post often enough to get to 1000 posts anytime soon but will keep chipping away when I have something to add...or gain

It had nothing to do with the main site, and no preferential treatment is offered anyone for anything by being able to access it.

Having issues with my SLI 980ti in a couple of games, it's the blue squares/lockup crash for Witcher 3 & Atilla.

It passes benchmarks fine, leaving them for quite a long time - Firestrike, Heaven/Valley which makes me think it may be either software or potentially clock instability related (but they have been a number of benchmarks easily).

So far I've done a driversweep, disabled the audiodriver/no GFexperience or junk & downclocked slightly (from 1450 to 1400) - this I'm testing now to see if it helps, but I'm unsure if this may be a game specific issue, a hardware problem or maybe a driver issue.

Power for the two cards was in the 80's, heat in the low 70's.
