The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

need figures....... what temp improvements, noise levels, fan speeds please :D

No worries, twin frozer was 50C IDLE / 75C+ at load

AIO is 28C - 30C IDLE, 50C+ at LOAD.

Fans are controlled via front panel, these temps are at min fan speed.

Noticed in 3D Mark 11 it keeps constant 1520mhz core now, whereas before it would drop every so often.

Nice improvement, the card / PCB is ideal for AIO as it has brace, backplate and VRM cooling, AIO with fan is ideal.

Sounds very nice, I'll be putting both of mine in a full custom loop this weekend & will likely be flashing both to bypass the power limits.

The first card seems to have a huge potential, the second not quite as good but still decent headroom. Fairly confident I can get 1550+ on both soon & nice low temps!

My MSI IDLES at 50C with 0 fan thing. How is yours that cold with no fan?

Mine with twin frozr,

Load 75C - 85C (Heavy OC)

Under water (AIO) it idles at 28C - 30C

Load is 50C - 60C (Heavy OC)

What sort of power limit is it running on idle. Mine idled at 50c with a couple programs open that caused 0% Gpu usage but 40% power usage. Switched them off it used about 10% power usage and 30ish degrees.

Should I be concerned that my G1 is reaching 75c when playing BF4?

70% fan speed and a 1464 boost clock

a lot of reviews on the G1 state a load temp of 70c but that's with the stock clock on the card, so I guess boosting it from 1291 to 1464 will result in a higher temp?

I guess having a hot room will make a difference too?

Anyone else with a G1? what are your temps like

Well I've finally had the courage to buy a second 980ti amp extreme, an Asus PB287Q 4k monitor, a corsair obsidian 900D and some corsair SP and AF fans to replace the stock ones. My stomach hurt while looking at the price and hitting the buy now button but I figure if I'm gonna build a gaming rig, I might as well do it properly.

The only thing i'm concerned about is the spacing between the 2 cards, they will fit but barely, im hoping the 900D will provide enough airflow from the front intake fans (I'll be removing the hard drive trays) to blow over and cool the top card. If it doesnt work and the top card runs hot i guess i'll have to consider a new motherboard. Everything will be here on saturday anyway so I'll update with my impressions of what it's like running a 980ti sli setup.

It's the only way with a 4K screen.

So my evga 980ti Coil whines when it gets to 950-1000 FPS on menus, I could easily do frame limiters, and anything below that is fine. But the question I'm looking for, is it normal? and without limiters would I damage my graphics card?

Vrm temps? Apart from that those temps look sweet, maybe get a modded bios and push further?

What sort of clock are people getting on their reference 980tis before adding any extra volts? I can get +100 then have to add volts to get it any higher. Also what people's max power limit in afterburner? Mine goes to 106.

I found my G1 to be a bit on the hot side, and pretty similar to yours.

It's normal at those frame rates.

Sounds normal from what I've heard.

Just wish mine was game stable at 1464. I've had to go back to 1380 for completed stability.

Mine is the same full load 75degrees if i take the case panel off i can drop it to 72-73. But it sits there constant at that temp at full load for the entire duration of gaming session be it 5 mins or hours ect.. fan speed 68-69%

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your 980 Ti.

I wondered if anyone could help me and point me in the direction of a z97 board that has a lot more spacing between the express lanes so I can fit my 2 zotac amp extreme? My asus z97 pro gamer board is gonna be a real tight fit.
