The GTX 980 Ti owners thread.

Didn't realise if I bump voltage and power temp targets it auto adjusts the boost, thought my boost was 1253, turns out it will boost to 1293 all on its own :D

Still, the best card I've ever owned, rips through everything, doesn't get hot, doesn't make any noise, couldn't ask for more :)
Same - just came from an amd card and add 175 on the core, then added 25mv and my boost went up, didbt realise this happend

My 2 cards were a 67.7 and an 83.8 ASIC..............they have sequential serial numbers lol. I reckon the 67.7 is the one that freaks out over 1450mhz.

After reading the above evga article i thought id check my zotec amp extreme asic.

Turns out its 83.1 take it that's good, haven't overclocked yet but its boosting above 1450 at below 1.2 volts.

Yup, you hit the silicon jackpot!

There is always a market for people demanding high asic cards for benching, sell it for $1000 :p
But on a serious note if it is like CPU's which unfortunately don't have a funky number that determines whether it is a golden chip (no you can't rely on batch numbers) then they do fetch a higher price.

My de-lidded 3770k is golden'ish 1.160mv under load at 4.7Ghz on air, highest core temp during the summer heat wave we had was 67/Ambient 31. During winter it's 54.

mine is 83.9 but needs +25 in afterburner to take the boost to 1452. that's 1.193 volts under load.

my OCUK only has a power limit of 106 so i think i might be hitting that (esp with the fan hitting 80%) - haven't really had time to test too thoroughly.

it's going under water soon so i might swap the bios for something with a higher power limit/stock volts

For the Gallery.

Very nice - what coolant/tubes you using there? also no backplate?

Any idea what's going on with the hybrid? Been waiting since near the start of last month...should've ordered sooner I guess!
I read somewhere they're changing stuff around so they can bang more cards out quicker towards the end of July or beginning of August.
Of course that may have just been a wonderful dream where I live in a reality where I actually get my GPU eventually, since I can't actually find where I saw that. :(

The EVGA hybrid?

They're busy binning the worst chips for it.

AAAAAAA don't say that!

My pci-e extension came today so I'm attempting to split up the 2 980TI for the much needed breathing space. Luckily the bottom card sits nicely on top of the side fans, HDD cage and the PSU (just need some rubber strips so it's not vibrating. The fans on the card aren't obstructed and the 2 fans in the bottom of the case will exhaust the hot air. All I need to do now is join the 2 SLI bridges I have so it reaches and then tighten everything up. I know the extension cable isn't pretty but it's the best I can do at the moment.

What do you guys think, can you see any issues with this setup?
