I was happy with snagging that deal. Bit surprised it was this price only a week after launch. Lets hope other retailers follow suit.

Since I don't plan to SLI, I figured it was worth spending a bit more on a non reference card.
But I'm jealous of the price you got that card!

Don't be too jealous I spent just over £90 on a gpu waterblock so I'm still spending a fair chunk on the card.
You did the right thing in getting an aftermarket cooled card if your planning on staying on air. Good choice.

You should get some nice temps with that! my case is fairly big so I'm hoping there is enough air circulation to reduce the heat from the card.
Yeah if I knew more about graphics cards and water cooling I would go the same route as you

I did consider the gigabyte G1, but price is a bit high. So went for the msi gaming edition. If there had been a standard windforce model id likely have went for it.

Paid £522.40 for a ref gigabyte inc next day delivery.
Me too, I was going to wait for the MSI but at that price the wait had to end.

Doesn't work if your primary game is BF4 and you are getting cpu spikes cos of mantle... so yeah powerful maybe....but not suitable

Can anyone post a screenshot of a custom fan curve for an overclock? I'm having a play just now but it's the first time I've tried manual fan control.

Try 1:1 ratio, if it's too loud lower it.

Yeah, not looking forward to the heat after my ACX 2.0 cards have been so good!!!
TBH instead of going the whole hog in regards to WC I may as well go with a pair of Hybrids for the approx cost of £80 per card (less than a block!).
It'll give me great temps and be pretty damn quiet at the same time
