The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Also be very careful removing the screws, one of mine seemed to be overtightened from the factory and you can guess what happened.

Yep, stripped it and had to remove the offending screw using a power drill. Trust me when I say taking a drill to an expensive GFX card is something I never wish to repeat.

I have a similar one to that so I'm good, thanks :D
Everyone here should own one of these kits, they're awesome.

The 1.5mm hex screw almost caught me out, it's really tiny. Luckily my smallest torx bit fitted, and yes they can be tight so apply good pressure and turn slowly.

Just fitted my corsair sp120, temps now up to 56 compared to 51 with the stock fan but quieter, running at 80% compared to 100% of the stock fan.

I get under 50c in most games on modded bios with stock fans. I haven't changed the rad fans speed so I assume they're at 100%. I run the card fans at 25%. The back plate sits at 50c ish.
I ordered some SP120's quiet edition today from OCUK so hopefully they'll be a little quieter

Is that black plate only 50c above the vrms? Mine feels much warmer than that but have a temp gun comming through the post so will see.

Watch out for the quiet editions they dont move half the air of the performace ones or standard EVGA ones for that matter nor have the rpm speed.

Ah when I said stock fan I meant the stock fan of the hybrid, so original fan on the card is running at 37%

Gta runs cooler, witcher 3 is the most demanding I've found

I wouldn't run the card fan at 25%, I'd be worried about the VRM cooling. I run at 24% below 32C then 37% above.

Yeah the performance SP120s move a lot more air, so more cooling headroom, but also obviously can get louder so I guess it depends what balance you prefer. In this comparison the Quiet Editions ended up with a 2.65 difference in degrees while being 12dB quieter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFi39czpsac&t=5m54s

I have the SP120 quiet editions on a H75+980Ti, but it's the PWM version with 4 pin instead of the usual 3 pin fans. Hooked up to my NZXT Sentry 3 fan controller it displays the correct rpm, though I haven't tried them connected to the motherboard to see if it picks up rpm. At 100% ~1380rpm in push pull they are pretty much inaudible while gaming. Absolute max I've seen is 55c in GPU-Z without any fps cap, but as I have a 60Hz monitor and cap the fps, typical temps range from 45-51c.
