The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Question and answer honestly. Had you knew the 980ti was around the corner would have you still paid Top Whack for the TitanX??
If yes Why?

No, I would have saved £500 and bought 980Ti SLI.

But I've had mine since March 2015, so that's 13 months of 4k/60fps Ultra gaming.

Wish I'd put at least one on the bay 7 days ago though....procrastination is a bitch.

People were still clearing £700 for a normal one and £800 for a hybrid a few days back. I'm pleased I've had top end performance for a year now I get £300 to pocket and similar/better performance :)

And to be honest, this is the most hassle free gaming I've ever had on PC.

Not had any issues with drivers, crashes or anything like that. And I probably won't upgrade because they still are ridiculously powerful.

But for people who must have the fastest I can see a lot of Titan X's being junked ASAP.

People buying TX's are not the kind of peasants that need to worry about resale value.

Just to clarify - I am a peasant that worries about resale value.

They might not even release the pascal titan till march next year then the TI months after that so 2 years gaming on TX im happy with :D

Dont want small pascal.

I was umming and aaarring about selling my Titan X's. So so happy I did now. I'd be so annoyed right now if I hadn't.

Hey you did good. My second one is on the bay now and I think I'm going to pull it. 1080 announcement timing wasn't great. Not going to let it go cheap so might as well just reunite it with its brother. Lol.

What sort of price do you think Titan X will drop to 2nd hand? Is grab another if it was £400 that would go very nicely with my x34 although just the one is doing pretty well

1070 is meant to be quicker. At $370 GPU, if this is true and come release. The titanx will drop massively in price.
I feel sorry for everyone who bought titanx tbh, highend flagship killed of by 980ti and now apparently by there mid range GPU..

Why? I imagine most who bought a TX can afford it and I did see some sell theirs last week for what they paid. I listed mine on the bay but was too late but not fussed and will keep it now for running comparison bench results between the TX and 1080. I have been doing computer builds for long enough now to know that a new GPU launch will kill the price of the older GPUs and if it bothers you, don't buy new.

The 12gb will keep it high because of 4k where 2 or more are sweet

+1

Remember too that with the new 1080 you are limited to a 2 way SLI setup. This means that 3 way TXs @2160p will destroy anything Pascal can do until the full fat GP200 chips are available.

Never been a better time to pick up some TXs for high resolution gaming if the prices do drop a bit.

Yeah it is quite funny to see all the new T-Xs and Ti's on ebay..
Really are like sheep panic selling.. then sitting with no GPU for a month waiting for the next gen lol

Really i don't see a 1080 being much faster then a Titan X in gaming..
Maybe a Over clocked 1080 v a stock Titan X it will be faster
