The GTX Titan X owners thread.

Yeah it is quite funny to see all the new T-Xs and Ti's on ebay..
Really are like sheep panic selling.. then sitting with no GPU for a month waiting for the next gen lol

Really i don't see a 1080 being much faster then a Titan X in gaming..
Maybe a Over clocked 1080 v a stock Titan X it will be faster

It's already been said that a 1070 beats a Titan X. So a GTX1080 should literally destroy a Titan X buy at least 30% to 40% we've been told? Hope to have proper numbers right before launching of new series. Nobody here ( Including the OCUK know it all's ) knows exact numbers until reviews are in?

I got a feeling the 256 bus will hamper the 1080 at 4k and high setting and get owned at max setting at 4k but I might be wrong.

The 980ti and titan x are still great cards people need to take it easy and wait and see what happens.

Why? I imagine most who bought a TX can afford it and I did see some sell theirs last week for what they paid. I listed mine on the bay but was too late but not fussed and will keep it now for running comparison bench results between the TX and 1080. I have been doing computer builds for long enough now to know that a new GPU launch will kill the price of the older GPUs and if it bothers you, don't buy new.

We all know GPUs kill the price on older GPUs that is a fact. Its how Nvidia has done this that I find odd. I guess the have the money to gamble on these things

When you buy something High-end like the TitanX at £900-1000 You expect the next card to be topping it is the Next Titan!
Not a Mid range GPU the year after! That is just Madness, it DONT matter if you Mr Rich its the principle and how it should be.

This goes for any lineup.

You are fussing about something you have not done and telling others we should be annoyed because you would be, even though you didn't do it lol. I fully expected the die shrink to beat the 980Ti/Titan X and I am not disappointed with the initial 1080 news.

Thanks for your concern and salty tears :D

Not salty at all to tell you honest truth. This is a Graphics Card Forum and am free to express my open mind on anything related to the thread.
Just because it doesn't matter to you doesn't mean its correct and the for Wrong :p

Like you already expressed you disagree with my view, doesn't make you right and it doesn't make me right either.
We both sit happy on other side of the road.

Ok, you carry on expressing your opinion on something you haven't tried or done and keep telling those that have that they should be annoyed. After all, this is the Titan X owners thread and you do own a Titan X... Oh wait :p

shanked greg? ;)

think so lol :D

A die shrink will do this as you know that is what certain people have been saying for ages and to be honest let us look at some reviews first before claiming titan X and 980ti are beaten hands down and i mean a good review at all res, 4k as well.

I'll say no more already said enough on this matter. Enjoy rest of your day. I'll enjoy the money I have saved not getting into that pit. :p

greg! i have a family pack monster munch ill swapsies for ur tx!

Oooo that is tempting :D

Those who own a TX/980Ti can still carry on gaming without issues the same as they are doing now. Just because a new card is launched doesn't make them suddenly redundant, so those who don't want to buy Pascal have no worries either. Reviews are out on the 17th apparently, so at least we get to see a mixed bag of results from various tech sites and I will be doing a review and some comparison vids to show how the TX fairs against the 1080.

Enjoy your 290 and carry on gaming ;)

1070 is meant to be quicker. At $370 GPU, if this is true and come release. The titanx will drop massively in price.
I feel sorry for everyone who bought titanx tbh, highend flagship killed of by 980ti and now apparently by there mid range GPU..

I only feel sorry for those TitanX owners who had to buy their cards on credit and who are still paying it back.

In other words, people who couldn't really afford a TX but decided to get one on credit as they couldn't resist.

I don't feel sorry for those who paid cash for it, as 99% of those knew the score already.

I will say that it was amusing watching people rush to try and sell their cards though - it says a lot about what those owners really think of the 10x0 news when they try and panic sell, vs those like Kaap who just accept it and move on.

I lol'd, a 1080 won't destroy a TX get out your dream land, the 1080 they showed was the "founders" card O/C'd at 2100mhz, I bet they benched it agasint a stock titan, and even then it only beat it by a few fps. No 1080 256 bus at any clock speed will beat my TX hybrid @ 1550MHZ, would love to see the 1080 handle 4k as well.

Agree'd no BS in this post.

It won't so don't worry about it.

End of the day "us" people bought a TX over a year ago cause we wanted the best, be it cause we wanted 4k or whatever, but we had the best card for over 12 months. I'm guessing it'll still be unbeated in 4k gaming.
We don't worry about loosing money, we'll go and buy the next TX as well. If a mid range card is all you can afford then great, enjoy it. We'll enjoy our top end cards and the 12 months we had a better experience thannnn yauuuuu.
