The 3D in Dredd is excellent, and it has some stunning slow-mo sequences which look amazing in 3D.

The Raid and Dredd came out around the same time I believe, and there are a lot of similarities.
Hollywood seems to 'coincidentally' come up with the same ideas for different movie productions to be released around the same time.

I'll set up the room slightly in advance to get the movie ready to play and post the room code here. Rather than use Oculus party chat it might be best to use the chat in the app, as it's positional, so would be more immersive.

If it doesn't work out for some reason there's always minigolf!

I am around tonight, but I'm probably logging off around 9pm tonight, Sunday evening for Demeo would be a lot better for me, if that's ok for everyone?

Last night I met up with Ravenger for some Elite Dangerous, pretty good fun actually, and i think once im further in the game and teaming up with Ravenger for some pirate runs or something will be good fun !

So, we tried to figure out a few things, i ended up sitting next to him on his ship , and i could see him, but i couldn't wave or stick my finger up or anything lol
gunner position I had a go at , and that was a little strange, but we are working out how to do things together like "multi crew" and "wingman" etc etc

we found a mission to do, which was worth 4.2 million, we had to go and find some stuff , about 620 units of them, costing like 10,000 each
we completed that mission, and what i didn't know until it was complete, that 4.2 million wasn't divided into 2, it was 4.2 million to us EACH

so now I have 4.2 million credits !
I can buy a new ship now ! :D

I've just realised i can't do Sunday evening! I've got a birthday dinner to attend. I can probably do Sunday afternoon around 4pm ish? ( it's just the 3rd level right, shouldn't take too long).

Or i can do today in the afternoon 4/5.

Might have to try elite.

It was great fun playing Elite with Shi. I've not played properly for a while, and only once or twice in a wing.
I'd forgotten a lot to be honest so we spent a lot of time faffing about working out how to team up.
I liked showing off my ships (mine is bigger than yours :p), and at one point Shi was chasing me in his sidewinder and couldn't catch up with my mammoth fully upgraded Type 7 freighter. :D
Glad to have helped Shi get 4 million credits. It's hard to make money at first.

haha, yeah, its much bigger, but in VR you can feel the scale more, its huge !

funny how i managed to about catch you and dock before you once in the vicinity of the star port, but in super cruise, you a bit faster than me ! lol

So, no guarantees, but I'm installing Elite (got it whilst it was free on Epic). What should I make sure I do when I setup, get started etc.

that's how i got it :)

loved elite since 1984, but not got Dangerous until Epic gave it away

once you've installed it, click on the 3 dots not the image to load it, then click on "launch in VR"

but first you will need to set up a frontier account.

Be warned, it has a HUGE learning curve, plus you really need a HOTAS to play it effectively in VR, and even then I use the mouse and keyboard for the galaxy map.

Make sure you play the tutorial missions to get yourself used to the controls.

Also as a beginner make sure any ship you have has a supercruise assist module, as it makes cruising to planets and stations massively easier.

If you join a wing you can get much bigger rewards than you can get on your own.

I'm hoping that you're going to help me out :D.

I have two joysticks, and am happy to go dual stick with it.
