The Hangover Thread

I went to bed at 9:20pm last night, and other than waking up at 4am and taking maybe an hour to go back to sleep I slept until 8:45 am.

None of the kids etc are at school today so could literally roll out of bed and logon to work at 9am.

Saying that I feel half alseep today, probably still slightly hungover.

Never been into alcohol myself.
Many reasons.

-Get so little time off a year I don't want to waste a day feeling like garbage
-it's expensive
-I usually have to drive
-I don't really enjoy being drunk

Its been years and years since I've had more than 2-3 drinks in a night. And mostly it's only 1 beer.

I love beer/wine/whisky which is a big annoyance of mine. I always say if they made a non alcholic version which tasted 99% like the real thing i'd be all over it. Sadly they just can't manage it, although beer is getting closer.

I love the taste of wine and a good craft beer, and would happily just drink non-alcoholic versions if they were any good.

Some sparkling non-alcoholic 'wines' are quite good, but every red I've tried is vile.

I do like the taste of beer (didn't use to) and I also hate the non alcoholic varieties, they just aren't nice (even though I don't like alcohol really) .
I was going to get one of those beer tap things. But decided against it. I think that was the right choice!

Yes. Definitely count it as a blessing I don't like strong drinks.

Wine I hate. Especially red. One small glass and I get a cracking headache

Yeah, just horrible sweet tasting nasty stuff.

Over here they do an NA toasted malt lager by most of the big breweries which is actually quite pleasant, but that's mainly just a nice cold beer on a hot day kind of thing. Great when you're out on a bike ride/lunch out, but you're not drinking it on the sofa on a Friday night and enjoying it.

I've started drinking low alcohol beer, which is a damn sight better than 0% stuff in terms of flavour and mouthfeel. Small Beer do a range of 2.5 to 2.8%, great for a regular Friday-after-work drink.

You lot a hell of a lot stronger than I am! My last hangover was 3 years ago and even that was too recent!

Probably a reason I've had my 'fathers day' beer sat in the fridge since then :D

No hangovers because I don’t go overboard. However I do find it makes me tired for a day or two. Almost like it interrupts the sleep process.

I do get tipsy/quasi drunk but I ducked out of the 12 pubs of christmas this year (which means 12 drinks). I have course work todo and nursing a couple of days hangover wouldn’t be good!
