The hardstyle thread!

I've been listening to some Paul Elstak sets lately, an artist I've never paid much attention to but he's OG hardcore, his sets are pretty mental, some great old skool cheese. If you like Darren styles you will love it

When I was about 20ish living in Holland I met him a few times, he was tiny back then and Defqon was like 5k people. He was always buzzing off his **** and wanted to be BFFs with everyone :D

Still to this day the most Dutch sounding person on the face of the earth, I still can't decide if it's his normal accent or if he lays it on extra thick for the crowd.

Amazing story! Listened to his 2022 X-Qlusive set earlier, happy hardcore children of the night etc was raving at my desk to utter cheese :o Exactly why I love hard style so many little sub genres and cross overs

Should have properly commited to the full weekend rather than half arsing it :p
 
Completely cancelled now for the rest of the weekend... Bizarre given it's supposed to be 38 tomorrow then what 31 Saturday and 28 Sunday. Am sure it was low 30s a couple of years ago too. Properly sucks for everyone who's travelled there and just in general.

Trust me, it's not an overreaction. As much as it sucks, the heat here is completely unbearable. I can't imagine anything worse than standing in the middle of Defqon in this heat, and factor in the drugs some folks wil be on and the additional strain on the medical teams and emergency services, it' be absolutely insane to continue with it.

It does absolutely suck balls tho.
