I currently have a fruiting chili plant i keep on the windowsill how do I deal with green fly that seems to be appearing?

IIRC spraying the leaves with a weak solution of fairy liquid helps, you also need to regularly wipe all the surfaces around the plant to get rid of eggs or you'll get even more.

Some fly papers might help control the problem as well.

I am in again but doubt I will be trying to grow as many as I did last year. I think I might try half a dozen Hot Lemon plants and a Bhut (or Chocolate) Bhut Jolokia. This is liable to change though!!

Quick question. Enzo kindly sent me a load of seeds last year and I still have some left. Will they still be OK to use this year?

Over wintered a black Hab and a Trinidad scorpion. Both looking good at the minute. Does anyone else here sow them in trays, cover with plastic bags and put them in the airing cupboard? Always works well for me. Did it this time last year and about to do it again.

Ordered my garden seeds/sets/tubers last night. Didn't get any more chillies. I'm going to regrow what I did last year along with a packet of seeds I picked up last week.

Well ordered everything but my seeds now, still need to decide what to get. Think ill just go for some random ones and a couple from other peoples ideas.

Just planted my seeds. Planted some Habaneros, Jalapenos and Cayennes. Hopefully they'll be through before I have to go back to work in 3 weeks time.

Don't worry too much about that. Room temperature will be fine. You should get sufficient germination rates. Its just that at 25-30 they may be higher.

I'm going to get back into it this year as well. Unfortunately I didnt have any luck with any of the hotter chillis due to the crap weather and temps here, but my Cayennes did really well. Might try some other less hot varietys as well.

Planted mine today, woo!
Tempted to move them though, to somewhere were it might be a bit warmer. Will see how they go though. Got backup seeds if it all goes to pot

Can anyone recomend a medium warm chilli for me to grow this year. Last year I grew cayenne's and Mrs Nelson found them too hot. I'd like something with a good bit of flavour and a little bit of heat.

Thanks!
