The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Thats what works for me (for 1680x1050 res). But as you may already know, it's not proper widescreen, because the image is cropped rather than the FOV being increased.

Hopefully the 1.5 patch should bring true widescreen support (as with the latest BF2142 patch).

Another thing I'd like to change in BF2 is the draw distance to be further, as the majority of the bots cannot be seen in the distance, if you use a sniper rifle you can see more in the distance, they magically load into view and dissapear when you bring the scope up and down. IE, normally bots arent loaded all the way to the horizon, only when you zoom it will load more. I saw someone asking for this in another forum only to be cursed because they thought he wanted to take advantage in multiplayer.

Those pictures from Lord of the Rings Online look fantastic I must admit. But as someone who can't stand MMORPG, is there anyway I can get my fix of LOTR in a single player fashion (i.e. Oblivion like).

Oblivion like? Not really.

I presume you've played the other Lord of the rings games? :p

Funnily enough I haven't. Apart from one of the early games on the PS2, but that was pretty dire from what I recall.

I just love the setting for LOTR and those screenshots are the first I've really seen bring alive how I imagine that world to be.

Some Civ IV Beyond the Sword pack! :D

Meant to be 1920x1200 but has being resized :p[/QUOTE]

Those shields stock or a mod, and the robot in the left bottom in the city ?

I'm pretty sure they aren't in the stock game but I could have been blind in the months I played BTS .

I play LOTRO when I want to chill, what ever else you can find wrong with it, it looks amazing when everything's maxed (although I only have AA at 4x on most of those shots).

I might get back to it casualy, for the visuals alone, its a long time since I last played. I just found it was quite a slow MMO dunno I kinda lost interest around level 25 I think.

Is the addon worth it if you are low level?

Not really, the content is all level 50 - 60. You get two new classes, Warden and Runemaster, but you still have to level them through the same areas as previously. Besides the expansion there have been new free zones added, but they start around level 30 (Evendim) and the other two are 40-50 (Forochel and the Misty Mountains).
