i got my new Sapphire HD 5750 so played some games

BC2 beta DX11 max settings with 8xSSAA

Dirt 2, DX 11, 8xSSAA, all ultra settings

How do you make the close textures blurred? In mine they are just low res textures.

I think that when you go into a conversation it adds some sort of DoF effect though seemingly not always.

I have all the settings on max, and film grain off

light travels at different speeds through different materials so depending on what the expensive ones are made of it could well be true

iirc it travels at 38mph through sodium at near absolute zero is about 60kph

Yes I know that light moves slower through denser mediums, its more the parody of comments about hifi and HDMI cables that I found funny

ATI AA looks better than Nvidia AA. Is 24x Edge AA equivalent to using transparency AA because that really drops my performance.

That engine is on its last legs, certainly. STALKER: CoP looks juuust good enough for a 2010 game but no more than that.

The developers have already stated that the next game will be STALKER 2 and it will use a new engine.
CryEngine 3 has been mentioned but I don't know if that turned out to be a false rumour.

No, it is not equivalent. Transparency AA is used in addition to the normal AA.

Edge-detect is an alternative to Box AA on ATI cards.
