^that confirms it abit more, it's likley the facial shadows.

try turning off self shadows.


Also the engine is horrible and has been since oblivion/civ4.

theres a usermade fix now :D
someone made a d3d9.dll that fixes it so the game thinks you have a 7800GS lol
the game looks exactly the same but runs at 60fps solid (vsync cap) for me now, aparently theres something wrong with the dx path the game tries to use for dx10/11 cards but seeing as the game is dx9 only you lose nothing from making the game think you have a 7900GS

Yeah, I used the NMC texture pack (FULL + MAXBUMPMAPS)

always wanted to buy FO3 on pc ive got on xb360 but never got round finishing it. then about a week back i realized i already owned it thru a steam multipack sale that was on earlier this year

Appreciate some more Fallout New Vegas, though that first batch aren't all that impressive. I'm sure Fallout 3 looks better than that!
 
if you got bc2 then dont buy moh for mp, sp is better than the reviews say it is tho not the unreal engine at its best
 
Thats the trouble with pesky post apocalyptic landscapes, they're very.......um.....brown. :D

Oddly I liked Fallout 3 but for some reason am just not all that interested in New Vegas.

Yeah :P

I was the other way round. I bought Fallout 3 when it came out, played for an hour or two then never looked at it again, but i'm loving New Vegas. Once i've finished this one twice i might have to reinstall 3 along with all the texture mods, i'm even tempted to go back to Oblivion just for some colour as i haven't played that for years and there's bound to be tonnes of mods for it now.
