The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Did you play Witcher 1? How similar to that was it? Would really like a demo before I part with cash for W2.

The worlds in a similar set up, i.e. smaller instances rather than a large open world, the scripting and voice acting is much tighter, your choices have an even larger impact on the story, graphics are sublime.

Combat is more actiony now, the UI feels like it's been designed for consoles and is fairly lacking in places.

Thanks, good that your choices have more impact. Sounds similar, I'll wait for a demo or for it to drop in price.

compared to the first? because thats my one major problem playing the first game at the moment, the ui is not the best

Well the first one's is fairly functional, but not very streamlined, this new one is more streamlined, but less function, I suppose it depends what you look for in a UI.

The Witcher 2 is just absolutely beautiful. Quite a few of the screenshots could easily be mistaken for a CGI cut scene.

^^^ Warhead looks nice without mods IMO (BTW anyone know how to get the high res foliage working in Warhead? Doesn't work to just drop in the folder for me).

Only prob is the white lines I get around some of the trees.

aye i tried and failed to get a few mods working wth it, in the just maxed everything and pld. think i said it before but much more enjoyable game than crysis

A few from Splinter Cell: Conviction. I actually completed this quite a few months back but instantly forgot how awesome it is and how great it looks. Probably the best use of the Unreal Engine I've seen so far... seem to be having some framerate issues though (little improvement in performance over my 5770) just like AC2, maybe there's an underlying issue with Ubi's stoopid DRM? I dunno, but here it is anyway
