I think the single player will have some amazing visuals, multiplayer always tends to be toned down to help performance in a lot of cases.

Gameplay is 90%
Graphics is 10%

And anyway I think the graphics are very good not perfect but still better than most games. I just hope the gameplay is as good as the graphics..

It is really not. It doesnt even kick up a spray when you shoot it ( not in Metro anyway). It also doesnt ripple or tessalate when you move through/jump in it e.t.c.

Crysis 2 managed it, many other games manage at least the spray bit when shooting, why can't Battlefield 3?

Wish I had taken some screens of Caspian Border the other day also... Oh well.

Here are some shots, medium settings as my poor 460 does not seem to like this game too much. Had to remove the cards OC as I was getting artifacts all over the place!

Looks great for a BETA, think the final build is going to look amazing.

I don't think they look that good to be honest, they just seem off nothing like the videos we seen of apparently gameplay footage?

+1 I think it looks awful, to me BC2 looks better graphically. People seem to be getting sidelined with this beta talk. This is more then likely going to be the finished product and 5 years ago would have been named a demo.

What you can't see in the screenies is the dynamic lighting. The inside bit of Metro with flickering lights and torches is quite atmospheric, especially combined with the sound of gunfire echoing through the tunnels. I agree it isn't mind-blowing in terms of texture resolution though :/ Still canes my 5850 @2560x1440 even at high settings and no AA

2560x1600 Ultra/No AA/No AO Running on 570GTX mostly 50FPS+ indoors outdoors 40fps+ (waiting on 680gtx/7000) need more memory using 1.3 1.4gb on GPU

BFBC2, 32x aa, 16x af, hbao on, all on high.

BF3, 2x msaa, 16xaf, high setting, motion blur off.

Running sli gtx 470's at 750/1500/1674, should tide me over till new cards are released.

Yep, bc2 is still a pretty nice looking game, not to mention a lot easier to run, few from moh, same settings as bc2.

Another very nice looking shooter, but i dont play it much at all now.
