The High-Res Screenshot Thread!

Is that a question or a statement? I'm not sure cause you seem to start the sentence with a question but ended it with an exclamation mark, which makes it a statement and a somewhat narrow-minded one I fear.

Anyhow, apples and oranges, can't expect the whole world to enjoy or hate things the way you do, we all enjoy/hate different things (vive la difference). I personally don't see the fun or the point of so many games that are released nowadays (there is so little originality, just a rehash of what has been done many times before), but I know many other people do enjoy them, so I don't judge them and leave them to it while I get on with my entertainment and hobbies.

Which reminds me, let me share my latest batch of my flight sim screen shots:
(these shots have some cross process and grain effect added as after effect, it is an attempt to make them look like old aviation photos)

It's neither, it's just a little joke about trains being very boring, just like bus simulators, tractor simulators etc etc :p

Perhaps don't take everything so seriously or at face value?

Very nice screens Soya, FSX ones look like photos 100% to my eyes. Even if they are photoshopped.

Continuing with aviation theme: I just managed to run Rise of Flight with PROPER AA, it did work before, but only kind of, now its amazingly crisp!

Actually no FSAA is being used in those shots, I was so surprised at how smooth things are with the AA setting turned off, with it on I saw little difference in IQ but about 15fps drop in framerate.

Some good old atmospheric Doom 3 shots. I'm not playing any further tonight!

IMO still a superb looking game - 2560 x 1440, 8xAA, Ultra textures. Actually still looks as good as some of the games of today

So I downloaded Immersive Environment FXAA injector mod for skyrim and took some before/after shots. I won't be playing the game without it now. No other mods are running yet.

I think you'll agree that the last image looks mighty fine. Now to add some SkyrimHD textures to the mix :)
