Hehe you're the second person within the last 12 hours to say they never finished HL2 because it **** them up!

The full mod is 10 ish GB and some of the textures are incredible but at 2560x1440 with fsaa I have seen it drop to 50fps maybe a bit below at times :O

GTX570 SSC Ftw card btw. Most times it's around 70-100 fps.

Half Life 2 with cinematic never gets old, looks even better with version 12.

This is the best part of PC gaming, you can inject new life into old games using mods...

Cinematic mod is indeed amazing. I'd love to see one with active lighting effects but that requires engine upgrades does it not? Like being able to shoot out lights and move them as in Doom 3.

I've not even loaded up Ep1/2 yet, they look even better it seems!

Unless they've managed to rework DX11 into a DX9 engine..?? that would be impressive.

Anyhow, cinemod is one of those mods where you either love it or hate it, it has a lot of extras like Iron sight and now includes SweetFX etc..

Half Life 2 without the mod is still a game that holds its own, but I prefer the cinemod if I want some eye candy.. !!

Alyx however still looks like a teenage wet dream..!! Sadly.
