Yup all set correctly, 2.2 gamma, 120 nits luminance etc. and can make out all black squares on the lagomn display test charts.

This is on both my ips monitor and oled TV.

I would say if you're seeing some detail then it sounds like your gamma or/and contrast is too high.

2.2 measured across the entire greyscale range except it drops to 2.1 with 10 - 5% near black. Peak white is set to 140 cd/m2.

Still playing the game stock minus darker lighting and climate change, (using pollution)

But decided to download a load of 4k and 8k texture packs, makes a lovely difference.

Ooh that is cool where did you get the texture pack from? Any drop in frames?

Zero frames dropped from what i can tell, still averaging around 100fps.

A few from Vanguard. Gameplay is too quick but I often just stop and admire parts of the scenery/action (then get shot)

Much better in action but some of the effects are stunning

I went a bit overboard with those texture packs and installed all of them nearly resulting in 12GB VRAM being used so had to delete some

Anyways, still going strong although because of the pure atmosphere I don't always notice the new textures until I'm out on teh rockies or somewhere that has tiled floors etc.

Btw when riding the train you can press Q to switch views then use the mouse wheel to change seat!

I mean it looked great on the 2070 Super without RTX but this is the next level up and it runs so good at the same time

mrk you should check out the ascent for its cyberpunk likeness and epic ray tracing too

Someone did exactly that on [H] claiming that ray ray tracing added nothing. The Digital Foundry video was pointed out where DF do a deep dive into all the things RT adds in the game. Yep that person was a Radeon user
