Scratch all that umming and arring. I've ordered the Kickr Bike!

@Roady you can be happy now!
Hope it turns up quickly for you - I'd be interested to hear what you think of it.
My SB20 has been pretty rock solid since I got in in 2020, but over the last few weeks I've had a couple of problems connecting to the crank power meters, and with Stages going out of business I doubt it would be economic to fix even if spares were still available. So I want to be ready to pull the trigger at short notice, and the Kickr bike or shift are currently top of the list.

Yeah i'm an impatient *******

Your situation is why i liked the idea of the Elite Square. Least it splits the components into 2. However Wahoo seem to have a great reputation for after sale support it helps, and having something quite compact was also a factor.

I've only been looking at the more compact 'one box' options TBH. It would get a lot of use so I'm not trying to do it on a budget, and I'm sure Wahoo have their share of problems but like you say I get the impression their support is better than most.
I've read a couple of reviews saying that the shift is better than the v2 bike in some respects, and mainly lacks the tilt (which I don't know if I'd use or not). The other difference I'm not so sure about is the shift doesn't have the freewheel 'motor', but I don't think the SB20 has this and I don't tend to freewheel downhills, so doubt that's a deal breaker.
My SB20 doesn't really owe me anything any more, so when the time comes it might be down to which model can be delivered first :).

Yeah, the freewheel would've been nice, but not worth the extra €1500 for me.

The main problem is nothing really seems to have been released recently. The Tacx Neo 2T is around 5yrs old now and reviews come from back then too. Same with the Neo Bike, although i don't think it looks as good as the Kickr bike.

I don't like the look of many of the smart bikes honestly. I like the kickr bike iterations well enough which is part of the reason I have one. Many of the others either look cheap, like an exercise bike or straight up ugly.
