I have an iCloud account and when logging into www.icloud.com with my gmail account, my iCloud email shows up.

Will probably all be merged soon.

Has Apple announced anything about combining Apple IDs yet? I've got a MobileMe address which Find My Friends is making me use and I use for email, but my iTunes account is tied to my Gmail account.

I'd rather just use the MobileMe (iCloud) one!

There is talk around the web of them doing it, but nothing from Apple yet.

I'm in the same position as you, and I've just created another iCloud account using my gmail Apple ID. But then apart from the cloud syncing and e-mail I've never really used MobileMe that much, and as the only thing using your exising mobileme account for iCloud will give you is the 25Gb storage package rather than 5Gb, I'm not really bothered. You can't use the storage as a drive in the same way as MM iDisk anyway.

Probably not, more than likely just a locked out feature if an iphone 4 is detected instead of a 4s.

How does this work with your purchases on iTunes though?

My understanding is that they are tied to your apple ID (in my case the Gmail one) and this is what stops everyone from just creating a new account?

You just create a new iCloud accout using your Apple ID, in this case your gmail one. This then gives you a new @me.com email address and all the other iCloud features. Basically you do exactly the same as someone without MobileMe and ignore you have it, as I mentioned the only thing you'll loose out on is the extra iCloud storage they are giving people moving from MobileMe accounts.

I don't think it's fully up yet for the iPhone at least - I've been playing around with it. You have to press store and then you get a list of about five or six different magazines - but about half of them are just apps (Installed as an app not a newspaper/magazine).

However, I found when I installed the comic magazine and went to "Other Magazines", they link straight to all their other magazines (That I imagine are meant to show in the Newsstand store)
