The last game you completed, and rating.

Would a couple of hours be enough of a taster for a game this deep though?
Probably not, but it's better than nothing ;) I can usually tell in the 1st 5 minutes if I'm going to like a game :p The game offers multiple solutions for each problem you are facing. That's a huge part of the game. Not strong enough to take on that camp of baddies? You could poison them, push some off a cliff etc. It's mad how much depth there is.

Sounds good, not in a rush so will pick it up at some point - still have a backlog of games to get through:)

Tales from the borderlands 9/10

Probably the best telltale game

New Tales from the borderlands 6/10

Not a patch on the original; story was meh but absolutly georgeous and enjoyed it despite it's flaws

Hmm, I played some of the Walking Dead games form Taletale and quite enjoyed them but this was never on my radar.

May have to check this out and it may even be in my steam library from a humble bundle :)

Days Gone: 7/10

Darnit - this one really had potential but bungles the finale and left me feeling pretty disappointed overall - the game gives the impression of your choices having an impact, but it's just some alternate cut-scenes and what you do doesn't matter in the slightest - the journey is a lot of fun but the destination is entirely meh.

Technically the game is great - a few minor mission bugs and the occasional t-pose but it runs well enough and looks great for a PS4 game ported to PC. The gunplay is excellent as is the variety of weapons and (mechanically) it's one of the better third-person shooters I've played recently - better than The Last of Us and better than Dead Space. The only real issue I had was that there's so many options for ammo-types that selecting them can be a bit clumsy and I often found myself accidentally selecting the wrong ammo.

Riding around on your bike is great fun - whilst it's a bit fragile and quite the guzzler at the beginning of the game, you get access to a lot of upgrades that offer meaningful improvements (as well as some great cosmetic ones too) - it always feels great riding around a post-apocalyptic Oregon and the weather and scenery change just enough to keep things interesting even though you'll be travelling the same roads a lot - there's a fast travel system too if you just want to get somewhere in a hurry.

The zombies (Freakers) are always a threat - particularly in large numbers and getting chased down by a horde is always terrifying - there's also a decent variety of human enemies that you encounter quite frequently.

Overall, I liked this - it's never bad - and in places it's exceptional but it's a long game (I played it for 50-ish hours) and for me, the payoff wasn't entirely worth it.

Nice review mate and seems to echo what most of the reviews have said about the game.

Guradians of the Galaxy - The Telltale Series 7/10

Running out of telltale games to play so been seeking out the rarer ones. Game itself is ok just the other comic book style graphics have dated far far less (The wolf amung us or walking dead 1/2 to me have aged far better despite older)

Watchdogs Legion and Bloodlines expansion. 9/10. Best game I've played in a long time. Expansion worth the money as well. Repeat value as it's sandbox, different characters etc. Cheap now by all accounts.

Infernax (2022) - 7/10

From the same Devs as The Messenger, this is another solid metroidvanias but this time with 8-bit graphics.

The main complaint I have with the game is on the later stages, there are levels where if you jump and miss a platform, it's instant death and this is really annoying because you spend 5-10 mins getting up to that point and then because your timing is slightly off, you die and start all the way from the last save point.

Would have given it an 8/10 if it wasn't for that lol.

Axiom Verge - 6/10

Well after hearing good things about the game and having completed it, I must say I am disapointed by it overall.

My main problem with the game is that there was too much backtracking and ended up getting frustrated as oppose to having fun. Also the map was just too bare bones and didn't keep track of anthing.

I understand that it was mainly made by 1 person but I wouldn't play again nor recommend to anyone buy die-hard metroid fans.

BG3 - 9 /10

An amazing and superb game after 100 hours for most the part, being a backer day 1 and seeing it change over the years into this final form, its been great. For most the part dialogue is great, story is solid, the graphics are good.

Act 3 does feel slightly let down. I know all games cut content, but at some times feels they have cut some area's very hard. Like seriously, so many companions just want to shack up, even if you said no earlier, feels like some triggers are not quiet right throughout the game. I expect in a year or so, with the definitive edition like other games, will clear a good amount up and make some quality of life improvements, will then notch even higher for me.

The Legend of Tianding - 8/10

Never heard anything about the game until I saw it on gamepass and after playing it for an hour, I knew it was my kind of game.

The colourful comic 2d artstyle is great and gives the game it's unique feel along with decent combat and upgrade system. Highly recommended for fans of this genre.

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: 9/10

What an amazing game ! All aspects of the game are top notch and fit so well together.
Having not played any of the previous witcher games or read the books, I did miss some of the character back stories but the game goes a long way by bridging that gap with in game information (if you are bothered to read) and narratives in between. So I did not feel like I had missed that much information around the characters. Amazing story and gameplay with some really good background sound/music. Can't recommend this one enough for anyone looking to get into fantasy/action rpg's.
I do wish that there was some more playtime playing as Ciri.
Now onto the DLC's.
