The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos 9/10

was free on Epic a little while ago, great RPG with adult humour in it

Beecarbonize 9/10

free on Steam, one afternoon game, kinda global warming simulator

F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch - 8.5/10

What can I say, really surprised by how good this game is. Easily one of the best looking 2d games available and makes great use of the Unreal 4 engine.

Combat is great with a very good combo systen, boss fights are tough but fair and exploration is very rewarding. Took me 20+ hrs to complete and 25+ hrs for 100% achievements.

Dues Ex: Mankind divided.

Took me an age to get round to playing this but needed a change of genre after Elden Ring and then playing Dark Souls.

8/10

Positives. For its age the graphics are really nice, the textures are some of the best I have seen, very crisp, i couldn't improve much if-at-all with ReShade.
Good world design, spolt a bit by the need of tram stations.

Negatives.
Needed more boss fights.
To much Hacking - but the system they have was very impresive.

Hope they bring out another.

Now for Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty... or I need a change of genre :D

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt: 9/10

What an amazing game ! All aspects of the game are top notch and fit so well together.
Having not played any of the previous witcher games or read the books, I did miss some of the character back stories but the game goes a long way by bridging that gap with in game information (if you are bothered to read) and narratives in between. So I did not feel like I had missed that much information around the characters. Amazing story and gameplay with some really good background sound/music. Can't recommend this one enough for anyone looking to get into fantasy/action rpg's.
I do wish that there was some more playtime playing as Ciri.
Now onto the DLC's.
Had exactly the same new to it/first experience! The dlc's are wicked, the 2nd one is VERY good dlc wise! Enjoy!

Yes just finished them and loved the extension and they both had meaty storylines. Toussaint was a welcome change of setting from the usual doom and gloom of Novigrad/Velen and Skellige. More bright and sunny. Like the summer we never have :D.

Yeah I couldn't have put it better myself. That first bit was so vibrant wasn't it! Vampires though ;) offt! I love how it ended as well, that chill convo by the tree. I dunno I felt like I proper cared about them at the end and I really like what a father figure he has become to her.

Deathmatch Dimension (Quake Addon).

Superb series of maps, among the best in the line-up, IMO.

Pleased and a little surprised that I managed to run through the entire episode and not die once,
though, on reflection, I was only playing on 'normal', which I like to do for a first time run on any game.

Tomb Raider (2013)

I've lost count of the amount of times I've played through this one, but opted to give it a whirl on the Steam Deck.
I was quite surprised by just how good it looks on a smaller screen!
It is SO good! This one and Shadow are the best, although the 2nd and 3rd playthrough of Rise, made me like it a lot more - I tend to smash all 3 in 1 hit, as with doing TLOU/LB/TLOU2 in 1 hit if I replay. And all 5 Uncharted's!

What can I say, I'm thorough!

Yeap, hated fighting the bruxa's. I actually didnt get that ending based on my decisions in the main story.
I got the one with Yen instead. But you can see throughout the main storyline how good of a father figure he is most times when he is trying to protect her.

Return to Monkey Island - 8/10

I've given this a relatively high score, I'd not played an adventure game for years (having loved them as a kid) and found it a little difficult to get into. Having less time and being used to playing games that give me an instant hit (sports or fps) in short 30-minute bursts is my usual 'go-to'.

I got more into it as the story progressed. I enjoyed the art style, an area that was quite divisive among the core MI fanbase when first shown. I found I relied on the built-in cheat/hint system too much, mostly because I wanted to progress without spending hours stuck like I would have done when playing MI1 or MI2 as a kid. Loved the nostalgia! The ending left me a little unfulfilled, then I read the last scrapbook note and it felt a little more understandable. I'm also aware there are several endings depending on how you finish the last part, maybe I need to see these too.

It feels like it fits in more with MI1 & MI2 than any other MI games, which makes sense as it's the same devs.
