The Last Of Us

Played the demo, pretty good. Will wait for it to hit £30ish though. No Steelbook, no full price. They could have had my money on release date, but decided Europe can't have the steelbook.

The atmosphere was amazing and the level of detail especially in the sounds etc

THe combat section seemed a bit tough but i think thats because in the full game it would build up how to fight properly whereas a demo just throws u in at the deep end!

Not spoilery at all, soo excited now

You know you can play region 1 games on your PS3, right? :p

Yeah, but then I have to use a us account to redeem any DLC etc for the US copy of the game + possibility of import vat + handling fee. Not in any rush, got stuff to play. You want me to buy something on release, then I want a decent bonus, in this case the Steelbook.

Is this Demo for God of War adopters only ?

Yeah, only for people with god of war.

The art book, comic, canvas wrap, poster, controller skins, in-game bonuses, dynamic theme, avatars and soundtrack weren't enough of a "decent bonus"?!

If the material the case is made of is enough to influence your decision, you probably didn't want the game that much in the first place.

I want the game, but what's the point of buying on release? Pretty much every game drops in price shortly after release, so if there is not something I want of limited quantity with it, then I'll wait for a drop.

I wanted the Steelbook, not the other stuff. No steelbook, so I'll wait for a drop.

You guys have something invested in the game or something? Someone not buying on release because it will drop in price within weeks and you guys carry on like it's some crime.

Not at all, just that most people would tend to base their decision to buy a game on the merits of the actual game, not what the case is made from. It is a shame that the US special edition seems slightly better (full size art book, comic, steelbook etc) although I imagine it'd end up costing more if the same thing was brought over here anyway.

That one's easy: to play it.

Moving swiftly on, another new interview with Ashley Johnson on the US PS Blog (very short):

They are pretty cool cases, they feel premium even if they're only made from some kind of cheap metal, but I wouldn't deny myself an opportunity to buy it on release based on what the case was made out of. If the Steelbook edition was an option over here then I would've bought it for sure, it wasn't though which is why I've just gone for the standard edition instead. Ultimately to me it doesn't matter whether the box is metal, plastic or whatever as long as I can play the game I'm not concerned about anything else.

lol steelbookgate - I hear the first batch of BDs were stamped on a really lovely spring day, like proper Disney style, man doesnt get much limited than that. If you smell the BD long enough Ive been told you can smell the blossom /nerdgasm

ps3ud0

how does it feel and handle, is it uncharteresque?

Not really imo

The camera feels a lot closer to joel

U start with about 3 bullets but u dont want to use the gun as it will make too much noise so i didnt use it

Instead i was searching everywhere for items to craft melee items to help stealth kill and to be quiet

The controls are unchartedish but theres no snap to covern u can toggle crouch and when ur near an edge they will press against it themselves but not snap to it so it feels natural

Its really intense, quiet, and a bit spooky whereas uncharted is full action adventure with a ton of platforming

Totally different tone imo, u can also toggle to flashlight and run or jog, it was weird the run seemed a lot faster in combat

it also feels more satisfying when you fire the gun ,but that's probably due to the fact you don't get many bullets.
The final section was immense , this game will give me nightmares ,lol

Just had a go on the demo, game is awesome, another hit for Naughty Dog and i feel sorry for all xbox owners who haven't enjoyed their games this generation. Roll on PS4........

So I got GOW:A delivered this morning and I've downloaded the demo for TLoU, then installed whilst getting very excited.

Then I click English on the language selection, yes yes, then boom...some mega install/download taking over an hour? FFFFUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!

Someone hold me :(
