The Last Of Us

Really looking forward to this, the demo was so annoying as it just left you wanting more!

Bad timing though for release as I'm working this weekend and therefore I'll have no time to play it :(

Luckily I'm on nights in work this weekend so I'll take my ps3 in to work with me and crack on! :D
 
Those clickers are fkin lethal, and this is on normal difficulty aswell lol, i can see this game being hard even on normal once you start meeting loads of these untouchables lol, if they grab you, your basically fked.
 
Worth reminding people to start using spoilers as no doubt a rare few might drop from tomorrow onwards?

Personally I don't think there should be any spoilers posted (tagged or not) until Friday, seeing as that's the official release date.

It's up to the mods to decide though.

Edit: Also just seen that it's now £33 for the regular edition at Tesco, with code TD-G9FW.

i've had the same sometimes when working weekends. Its been known to be quite dead, so take my laptop and PS3 into work as its got a HMDI IN and play GT5 or something whilst waiting for phone to ring.

I managed to complete bulletstorm whilst working weekends due to lack of anything happening.

Better then sitting there bored I guess.

Anyone been lucky enough to get a dispatch note for Last of us yet?

Don't know but I'm about to find out as got a pre order for the Joel edition. I'm hoping it gets here for Friday, want to play it as got the day off work, so it it doesn't turn up I'll be a bit upset.

Generally tesco is reported to be fairly good, but as to if they are - I'll find out by end of the week. :p
 
Think I might cancel my Joel edition and get the normal. Nothing included that interests me and I want the game in a normal plastic box.

Edit - Just cancelled normal version for £33 for me.

I'm looking forward to it, seems like a good bundle considering it's only marginally more expensive than the regular version anyway. Far better than the ridiculously expensive GTA5 Special Edition.
 
I cant believe the game discs are in a cardboard sleeve for the limited edition. That's what put me off the most tbh. I like the plastic hard cases.
 
Game have taken payment for my Ellie Edition, now If I could the shipping notice tonight as well I would be very happy ;)

This really is a fantastic game, best I have experienced in a long time. Played it most of the weekend and finished it last night, was that hooked. Great story, looks amazing and really enjoyed the combat system. Seems a funny thing to say, but the gore, the language used, and the character reactions all added up to quite an 'adult' experience that I had no idea the game would provide, was really impressive (hadn't played the demo or seen any vids).

Regarding the comments about difficulty - I played on normal setting and found it challenging enough, certainly 'felt' right to me in terms of damage you have to deal. Died a LOT finding best ways to kill groups of enemies, particularly clickers! I agree with other posters above regarding higher difficulty and the amount of damage it takes to kill an enemy - it would feel wrong in my opinion, but each to their own.

Completely agree with those about listen mode etc - if you want to make it more challenging then switch it off, way more intense. I would do the same for game hints and tips too, as it does spoil it a bit having things pointed out that you ought to have to figure out yourself. Finally, switch off melee prompts as well if you really wanna go all out.

Promo doesn't contain an online code so haven't been able to try multiplayer.

Was so impressed with this I've grabbed a copy of Uncharted 3 to try, hopefully it's good too!

Enjoy it guys, you won't be disappointed. Don't forget to play with the lights off and the volume up! :D
